I'm glad someone has said this because my friend and I have been searching in vain for the schedule too
-
I should have said sleep I made the right choice with booking Tuesday as well as Monday off work after Chevron 7. I was able to unpack, sort camera (despite only being blurry images), fetch some groceries and sleep The very first task when I get in my house after any travel away from it is to switch on the kettle and make myself a cup of tea. It is my priority before any unpacking or anything else. Ha ha - that was the first thing I did too when I got home - make a nice cup of tea for myself and the friend I gave a lift to LOL

A huge thanks guys - had a real blast. I know you said you wanted to have different guests - but Michael again - Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease *grovels on hands and knees* Chris too if possible *don't want much do I LOL* Having the hotel within walking distance of the town was brilliant, it meant going out to get food wasn't a a huge issue. I spend a lot of time in hotels for my job, and they are usually miles from anywhere so you kind of end up feeling 'trapped' My one complaint about the hotel was their extortionate internet charges - which I know is common in the UK - might invest in a 3G card thingy for future events as having no internet access is like having a limb missing - well, for me at any rate LOL But yes, stool things would give people not in the front row a better view, the stage was rather low down and I'm a short person, and was fortunate enough to manage to get a front row seat for Michael and Chris's talk which did make a lot of difference from just seeing the back of tall people's heads

Add me too, and the three friends I went with would want a copy as well - so that's another four to add to the growing list

LOL, you know what? I used to be the most unphotogenic person in the entire universe too. I started having con photos 7 years ago, and they were unbelievably bad. They kept being unbelievably bad. I just said to myself "Keep going, keep having them taken, AND ONE DAY YOU WILL BECOME PHOTOGENIC!" So I kept going, and 7 years and 50+ photos later, I am actually happy with the ones that I get now Although I'm sure part of it is to do with Malcolm, he's wonderful. He is great isn't he, he makes you feel so at ease as well. Unfortunately, at my age, there's no longer any room for improvement LOL - maybe Photoshop can be my friend *wink*

The talks for sure - I quite like getting the autos I tend to do drawings and that makes them special, photo ops I can live without as I hate my photo being taken anyway, I am the most un-photogenic person in the Universe, and I only do them to get a precious few seconds with the guest, and they were included in the price this time too. But for me, it's the talks and meeting other equally obsessed SG-1, MS/Daniel fans :) None of my RL friends are in to Stargate so being able to talk about it non-stop is a real treat :)

I'd like to add my two pennies worth here. Okay, I did my first ever convention last year. This one was much more relaxed. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, it was a great idea having the Cocktail Hour, however, it did seem that some people got to spend a LOT of time with the guests, leaving others to miss out completely. Shame the guest encounters had to be dropped, I can understand the reasoning behind that, but IMHO they might have given more people a fairer chance - I know it's a tricky thing to maneuover the guests with it seeming like a cattle market, having experienced how it works at the food events and the other convention. I heartily agree with the poster who suggested other things to do during the breaks - how about showing fan made vids if there are licencing isssues with showing the movies or episodes of the show :) I know this was a learning curve for you guys, you did a great job, I thank each and every one of you. I hope the one in March is even more succesful - gonna be there if I can :) re the DJ, yes that was a little bit of a let down, especially the lack of '60s' music in a 60s themed party, and how about a costume contest for the themed parties next time :) It was great spending time with people I already know from the internet, and awesome to meet people I'd seen on other sites, meeting and 'geeking out' with fellow fans is such a huge part of the convention expereince. The guests were awesome, and I can't thank Michael Shanks enough for having made the trip despite his pressurised schedule. It was a real treat to finally get to see him and Chris together on stage :) Carmen is always such a lovely guest, and Gary was hilarious :) I loved his impression of PDL - he sure nailed it. I'd also like to say it was great to see JBC letting her hair down, her job must be incredibly stressful at times, she was awesome, and I think her little script shows how well she understand SG-1 fans *grin* My friends I went with all also had a fantastic time, and I pass on my thanks. Well, I think that's it. Ummm, why not have a suggestion thread for things to do between talks for the next one :) Take care ya'll Julie EDIT by QS: Please don't mention other events here. Forum rules don't allow discussion about other events. Thanks again for understanding.

Now that would be cool :)

I was rather horrified at what they are charging for internet connection though -

E-mail on it's way to you, glad I checked before we arrived - thanks - If I had realised the importance of providing the extra names, I would have done just that. Ahhh well, you live and learn LOL
-
I did look when I ordered, but couldn't find an option to add the extra names on the order form, plus, shouldn't the fact that I was buying three tickets in only one name been queried at the time of purchase in that case? Anyway, I'll e-mail you their names.
-
Thanks I trust there'll be no problem in my case, where I purchased three tickets, one for myself, and one each for two friends of mine.
-
Hi there, new member here Okay, I have been reading about ID being necessary when you arrive to register. What is the case if a ticket was purchased by someone not attending the event themselves, as a gift for another individual - because the ticket would have been purchased in non-attending individuals name.
