I feel the need to chip in here. I'm not trying to be bitchy but I think you are out of order for making accusations which you can't back up. I am a member of the costume forum which all of our gropu are members of. I know for a fact how much everyone has put into those costumes. On your first comment on Beks, if the entrants of the costume comp were only allowed to enter if they had made 100% of the costume, I bet we would be looking at 5 or less entrants. It is impossible to make everything on certain costumes. Are you suggesting we all sheer sheep, pick cotton, make our own dyes and take to the loom and spinning wheel to make all of our own fabric and thread? I would like to see anyone make the WHOLE of their outfit. By what your saying the hobbits etc. shold be disqualified for buying fabric and accessories. The quote you posted on catwoman has to be false because I know for a fact (as Beks said) she did not buy the costume from a costume shop. Every single last white stitch was sewed by hand, she modified the boots and made the entire hood by herself, by hand! And on your comment about Legolas, im not saying that it wasnt a good costume because it was a VERY good costume, but I think a huge factoir why the vote was swayed was because of the crappy voting system. The system was not fair at all. I'm guessing approx. 90% of the cosplayers there were LOTR, so who do you think they would vote for? So in theory the winner is basically the person who has the largest group of friends there. The voting should have been done by an external, uninvolved pannel of judges. I'm not trying to bitch about anyone, im just stating my own entitled oppinions and clearing up the facts from the crap. Leigh.

So will I be ok? The things I have bought for my costumes are things which I have modified to be part of the costume. Also I have a custom bodysuit which I have modified. ??????

Truse me... Beks's costume kicks @$$!!!! As for me, I'm surrently trying to colour all of the blue parts of my gambit costume black (dont ask!) and I need to make a new prob for my Kurtios costume!! I hope I can get it all bloody done in time for con!!!

I'm not saying I do it for the attention, its a heap of fun, why else would I do it!! It would just be nice to have a competition to see everyones costumes together.
