I can understand both sides of the argument here, why pay £15 for Billy Boyd and the same for Dave Prowse etc?? It doesnt make sense.

And how can £5 turn into £15 for just a few pence extra on a 10x8 photo?, I think that the £10 entrance fee was referred to NEC, I think they charge that just to cover the cost of the hall, you have to go to the NEC for that show there is nothing else to go for, unlike MK shopping centre the show brings people into the centre, whether its just for refreshments or proper shopping etc?

£10 for a minor star wars guest is much more sensible than making everyone pay £15 per signiture, failing that why not pay £15 for a 10x8 and get a free personal item signed?, I mean how hard can it be signing your name all day??

I just don't think Showmasters will announce a pricing plan because they never have before ... they didn't for the Blake's Seven or Red Dwarf groups at LFACC, nor any other guest that has appeared so no matter what u THINK it should be, I do personally think it's unlikely u'll find out til u get there ... but obviously I can be proven wrong  :P

Well I think the minor Star Wars guests better bring a book or something, because its going to be a very lonely queue if they do charge £15 a pop.

At the end of the day, I'm sure both Showmasters and the guests are sensible enough to realise how much the guests will be in demand, and so will base the prices on that ... YES, some guests *are* incredibly greedy and will demand too much, and so we all reserve the right to not bother with them! But it'd be nice to remember it's not just Showmasters who are in charge of the pricing   :headscratch:

We arnt saying it is Showmasters, but they pay for hotels/meals/travel etc, if they want to recoup any money they are going to have to play fair on the lower Star Wars guests.

Seems others agree that paying £15 for David (I do every con going!!!) Prowse is taking the P1$$!

Lets wait and see what they charge on the day, as what you said David is a good point, I just hope it is sensible as its no good for those minor guests thinking they are gonna charge £15 and have a queue the size of Elijahs!

Personally I hope they ARE a bit cheaper than normal cuz it IS a hell of a lot of guests! And really they're not all gonna be that significant .. I'm not gonna get any of them, and wouldn't unless it was a major SW person but I can understand there are fans that would like many of the sigs maybe on the DVD set or whatever   I'm sure it'll work out ok :D

I'm a student too! It's just too much money to get all 30 starwar guests. Can't their be a group deal or 5 for 40 pounds.

I know collectormania wanna get as much money as possible but if they did it this way i'm sure they will make more because more people will be willing 2 pay the price! Otherwise people will just bother getting their fav actors and won't bother with the less famous 1s!!!! Sorry

Hey mayb the poor students should start their own forum!!

They've never done a group deal before, and i very much doupt that'll happen.
Each guest will want there own takings, it'll get to confusing to do group prices unless they pre-select who the groups are.

I agree they should be cheaper, at C5 the lower end guests charging £15 were just stared at from afar like monkeys in a zoo.

Seriously ... we can get Prowse, Baker and Bulloch any weekend of the year for 5 or ten pounds. I know this is a big, one off reunion SMs stylee, but please don't overdo it ! Surely these guys are cheaper to hire than Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn? So why charge us similar prices ? I know you passed on it for the Red Dwarf and Blake's Seven reunions, but surely a "group" ticket would work well for the SW guests, getting gradually cheaper the more you buy ? What does anyone think ?
Some sensible words here.........

Don't get me wrong the SW guests we are talking about are great people (with a couple of exeptions), but pretty soon it will be harder to find someone who hasn't got their autograph than someone who has

Surely a guest with a long line of fans who is charging less is better (more profitable) than one who has no line due to them being priced out of the market, and block charging may be a way round this.

I have started to realise that although I like individually signed 10x8's, there has reached a time when you run out of wall space and getting a number of signitures on one piccy is the answer.  I may well get my first SW multi-signed item at C6, but only if the price is right.

I am glad to see this thread getting some replies from other forumers!

some one mentioned (I'm being nice not to name names  :P ) that SM won't say the price before the event: I don't think anyone has asked that SM do that (not in the originalness of this thread anyways ;)) (and if they have, they should know better  - unless newbie, then excused!)

**BUT** SM have NEVER had this many guests from ONE franchise before so it may be a help us potential buyers of autos if we know how much to save for, even a CONFIRMATION that SOME guests may be £10 and others £15 would be a start, NOT asking for individual prices (well 'm not personally anyways  :P )

as a Student I certainly can not afford £300 or anywhere near it!!!!
but I know SM have to make a profit, pay for things blah blah blah

I am not into meeting people "just because they were in SW" (hey if I could AFFORD it I would!!!!) so hopefully I won't have to spend much. £15 is too much, spesh as alot of these people don't have much screen time and haven't done anything in particular since!

I have met a few before but want autos again (multi signed pics)

another great point for our cause:
Wicket (aka Warwick Davies) was **£10** at LFACC so why should he be £15 at c6? and he's actaully been a few things (little thing called HARRY POTTER) *AND* has quite a big part in RotJ!!!!    ;)

If i am paying 20 quid for TNG crew, and half of the A Team, and (eg) 15 quid for Jaws and Lois Lane, there is NO WAY ON GOD'S EARTH that I will pay more than a tenner for Dave Prowse, Kenny Baker, Jeremy Bulloch etc. I can get them cheaper ANY weekend of the year somewhere in the world ! Shiny new DVD boxset or not !
Wanted : Kris Kristofferson, Anna Paquin, Victor Garber, Adam Baldwin, Michael Ironside, Tanya Roberts.

Lost guests - especially John Terry, Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn.

LOTR Guests - especially Bernard Hill, Sala Baker, Ian Holm, Hugo Weaving and Peter Jackson.

Do you think this Star Wars reunion could backfire in SM's faces? My brother has been collecting Star Wars signatures for years now and he says he's not interested in anyone from the current line up except Billy Dee Williams. I think he'd like to get his DVD set signed but says theres no way he'd pay £15 per person per signature.

If most of the old fans are thinking this way too a lot of the actors will be sat around doing nothing and taking no money all day which makes you wonder if it is really worth bringing them in the first place. I've seen some of the older Star Wars actors like David Prowse and Michael Sheard sat bored at one of the last Collectormania events where they have no business. I think it will be the same here.
