Indiana
Given that most of us Star Wars fans have been collecting for years most of us are bound to have many autographs of the 30 Classic Trilogy guests attending C6 already. (Unless Showmasters bring out the big guns like Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid, Frank Oz etc). I'm just interested in whether Star Wars fans would like to see some of the prequel guests thrown into the mix as well - people like Ahmed Best, Leeanna Walsman (Zam Wessell), Andy Secombe (Watto), Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), Zachariah Jensen (Kit Fisto), Rose Byrne (Dorme) etc. Or perhaps Showmasters would be kind enough to give us a prequel show next year to mark the end of the Saga? Thoughts please...and votes of course! Obi-Wan
BEX (PSP)
I voted for both, But still think the new movies are fairly crap. I loved the original Star Wars, and remember seeing ESB and ROTJ at the cimema. I was a bit too young to see ANH. I suppose its cool that they have been made. But nothing beats Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
Mr Stabby
I voted for original ones.... I would prefer to se some of them..
surfy_sah
classic guests only seeing that it is to celebrate the ORIGINAL films being released on dvd, what relavence does it have to mix old and new in THIS context?! Obi - haven't you met some of the female SW stars that were at c5 more than once?! what would it matter to meet old trilogy guests again?! (you could always sell on the autos ) plus you seem to have met most people from SW and you only need specific autos - there's gotta be more peeps out there who haven't met alot of original stars!!! must say though "Vader" was at another event recently and in my opinion is not worth £20, I paid £5 or £10 for all my SW autos except Chewie and £15 is a stretch really (worth it for Chewie though as he has atleast been prequel and original!) surfy sah xx
The Host
i voted both because i dont think we have seen enough prequel guests but there are still guests from the original films that i wanna meet
Moderators DavidB Posted May 27, 2004 Moderators Share Posted May 27, 2004 Many of the prequel stars I'd want to meet because of their other work, not their SW roles to be honest ...
GoldenGreen
Well, I don't see why we can't have a few Star Wars prequel guests in the main 30 guests. Only one or two though, as I don't want to be greedy. For the Star Wars 30, fingers crossed though that the mighty showmasters bring some big Star Wars Names as well as old favourites. I think it is great that people like Kenny Baker, Dave Prowse , Jeremy Bulloch do appear at so many events , but I do feel embarassed for them as well sometimes when they are sat there with no queue line. Mind you, we will all probably be wanting to get them to sign our brand spanking new Original Trilogy DVD box sets by then.

As for selling them on...I'm not really in it for that, I just collect autographs for me - selling on is too much hassle. How about we keep the 30 to celebrate the DVD release and then add prequel guests into the remaining 30 guests? I thought about that too and decided that as I've got Jake Lloyd on Phantom and Christopher Lee on Clones I would only get the major stars/characters on my DVD, so again it would have to be Carrie, Mark, Billy Dee etc on my discs, I wouldn't bother with characters like Bib Fortuna or Wicket etc. Obi-Wan

I never quite know where to get people to sign DVD covers as it is pretty limited space. Mind you, there may be some promotional posters for the Trilogy Box set which would be a better bet. The other side to this is the cost, how much are the SW 30 going to be charging. Even at a tenner each, you are talking £300 to get all their sigs. I hope there is some sort of special deal for this one.
Adam
Has to be both. But i doubt they will get many Prequal guests as its all to do with the trilogy DVD's coming out. I hope there is some sort of special deal for this one. At the NEC (Didnt say the events name) the 1966 world cup winners were charging £25 each for there sig on a shirt, and there was not deal there. That's cool man, it is an opinion poll after all, and anything Star Wars is cool! As you know I love the entire saga but currently prefer the prequels and would personally like to meet more prequel actors (and there are some great ones even if you don't like the films themselves - Terence Stamp, Jimmy Smits, Rose Byrne for example) as I've met nearly all the Original Trilogy people that I expect to.
