There are 17 people i want to meet! Could I get some advice on how to make this possible! Is it possible? whats the most amount of guests you have met in 1 day Thanks
Moderators StuartG2198 Posted May 9, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 9, 2013 So far I've got 11 photoshoots booked and wanting autos too so I know how you feel, I'm wondering if ill be fit it all in
Rockstar6662
If you're just doing photoshoots they will be at scheduled times. There were 3 photo studios last year and there were roughly 35 sessions on the Saturday. You may find you have a lot of clashes and will need to speak to the crew to help get you through each one as quickly as possible if you don't have a Gold pass and can probably expect to have to rush between one area and another but it's by no means impossible. You'll have to look at the schedule when it's posted a week or so before the event and work out your timing from that. Is everyone you want doing a shoot on the Saturday though? Sometimes not everyone does both days. Personally I don't really consider it an opportunity to meet the guest as it's very much step in, smile, click, step out. There's no time to talk unlike at the autograph desk.
Vermillion1000
well it says under the days they are attending the price of photoshoot so i assume they all are? For example under Peter Dinklage it says "Days attending: Fri/Sat/Sun Autograph Price: £30 Photo Shoot Price: £30" So i assume hes doing photoshoots on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, am i right? More than likely though those are attendance days and not necessarily days they're doing a photo. A guest could appear all three days and only do a photoshoot on one day for example. I'm sure he is and I've got a ticket for the friday but you'll need to check in the shop for which days tickets are on sale for to be sure And I would recommend ordering in advance. The queue for photo tickets on the day will be nuts. Edited May 9, 2013 by Rockstar6662
Vermillion1000
I have checked the shop and all the guests I want to meet are doing photo sessions on Saturday! I just really hope I can pull this off :/
Rockstar6662
That's cool then. It'll just come down to the schedule and how many clashes you'll have. Familiarise yourself with where the different photo areas are when you go in (sometimes a plan is put up online before the show to help) and it shouldn't be too bad. If you wanted autographs as well then that would be difficult but just photos, you'll be busy but I don't see it being a major issue. Having low ticket numbers so you get called through early on or having a gold pass would help drastically but that pushes the cost up a lot. Rockstar6662
No probs. Photoshoots can be the most difficult things to manage as the schedule can slip and things that didn't clash suddenly do but just be aware of how the queues are moving, ask the crew if you're unsure and I'm sure you'll manage. At least you get the photos instantly as you leave the area now so no hanging about for them. Just don't forget something to put them in.
jonathan
Yeah good luck and I hope you pull it off. Personally, I wouldn't even attempt it without my Gold Pass
Squirtchy
Yeah you'd have to do it with a gold pass!!!
Kuato_Lives
I think it would be possible to do without a gold pass if you get there early enough to get low VT's for each guest. Just prioritise which VT's you get first

dwarfbabe
Here's my tips 1 Buy all tickets in advance of the event 2 When the schedule comes out, usually about a week before the event, have a look and plan your day 3 If you have two photo shoots starting at the same time, go to the one that is scheduled to last for the shortest time. 4 If you have two photo shoots starting at the same time or within a few minutes of each other and they are both short time slots, decide which one to go to first and let the crew in the photo shoot area know you have another one to get to. They will do their best to get you through quickly. They may ask to see your ticket for the other one (people do try it on from time to time so they need to check) so have it handy. 5 For the most popular/biggest guests, people will be called up in batches of 50 according to ticket number. 6 Make sure you get to the event early so that you can familiarise yourself with the layout of the place. Photo shoot areas may be quite a distance apart to prevent the queues from getting jumbled up. Think that's it for now. Hope it helps

Managed a photo shoot with all the guests. I found by telling the crew they moved me further to the front. Only had one problem with a youngester who told me to go to the back of the queue. He was replaced very quickly and I was moved forward. You must have the tickets to show, I had a list of times etc and showed the clashing tickets. The crew are very helpful. This will be my second time at Earls court so will be doing the same. My first time I was unaware of this and missed lots of guests as I was queuing at the back. I will be doing roughly 15 guests per day including MK for the three days. No Autographs as that slows you down and would be impossible. So if you see a Handsome young male with a piece of paper working out where to run next and sweating to get to the next place, that will be me... Say Hello Spacecadet. Hope this helps. It can be done..
laurab1
As dwarfbabe says, planning is key. This is why I have a 4-6 page spreadsheet for the signing shows. You can't go to everything, so you work out what you have to go to, and what you would like to go to, if you have time. Wondermoose
I would like to say.... Gold Pass, personally I would NEVER try this without a goldpass... BUT thing is: Since photoshoots is in limited numbers the que eventually starts to become smaller and smaller, but this gives you an important job to keep track of them. For instance, I was goin for a photoshoot at an event where I had no gold pass. I saw people standing in line for more than an hour. (stupid in my opinion). I just had a good track on the que, and went there when there were perhaps 20-30 people left. I stood for max 5 min perhaps and got photoshoot. The bigger guests will take a long time for them to finish shooting and the smaller ones will be over much faster. So as Ive said, GOLD PASS! or just have a goood track of the ques otherwise you will perhaps be spending the entire day quing. You can't go to everything, so you work out what you have to go to, and what you would like to go to, if you have time. I always put a spreadsheet together so you can clearly see how things interact and how long each session runs. I then colour code it for the things I gave to do, things I'd like to do etc etc. really helpful.
Rockstar6662
You can manage it without a gold pass. Just needs planning. Helps to buy tickets early so you get low numbers but even without, just keep an eye on queues and how the sessions are running. Besides once the schedule comes out you may get lucky and have no major clashes at all. Who knows. But be organised is the best advice and ask the crew for help quickly if it looks like its getting out if hand and you can't keep up.

naurarwen_fangorn
Not sure if it was mentioned or not but please be aware that some photoshoots start during the early entry time. Or they have done in the past at least. So make sure you have an early bird ticket just in case other wise you will have to queue on the day to upgrade your standard ticket to an early bird ticket
