Question about gold pass

Hi !

First of all, I’m sorry if these questions have already been asked but there are too many post on this forum, it’s hard to find the answers you are looking for ^^

I’m French and I would like to come to LFCC13 so I was wondering if I should by a gold pass or not.

So I have a few questions.

-- Tell me if I understood correctly : entrance for the three days, no need for virtual queuing for autographs, and ticket entrance for each talks (free or not)?

-- If I want to go to some photoshoots, I have to buy additional tickets, right? For the ones I’m interested in?

-- What about autographs? Do I have to buy the ones I want too? (and we can only buy autographs tickets on site whereas the photoshoots tickets can be preordered, right?)

-- And about the “Autograph Packs”, I’m not sure I understood what it is : is it a pack of photos already signed (for example from the Stargate actors) or is it a pack of tickets to go to the autographs sessions (of the same actors, that I have to choose right?)?

Last thing : for the moment, I’m “only” interested in 4 ou 5 guests (Stargate and GoT actors) (it seems to be the year of Star Trek guests but I never watched this show ^^). Do you think there will be a lot more addition to the guests or not? Just to have an idea!

Thanks you so much for any answers or advices!

Anais

You understood correctly. You will not have to buy talk tickets. Just go in the talk and show your pass at the entrance.

Yes.

Yes, you will have to buy the autographs. The gold ticket does get a pre-signed autograph pack of guests from prior events. But all autographs you want at the event you will have to buy.

Autographs can only be bought at the event. Last year there was a pre-sale for one guest for the first time. If that happens it will be announced. But it does not happen regularly.

Most photo sessions can be pre-ordered, correct. Sometimes there's last minute additions that can be bought on the day only.

The first, already signed photos.

There will be more guests announced. The guest number can go up to 90 or more. But there is no guarantee that there will be more Stargate or GoT guests.

Awesome!!! Thank you sooo much for your answers!

As it is, I don't think it will be very usefull for me to buy a gold pass (except for the "no virtual queing")... but I will wait for other guests announcements.

Do you, by any chance, have any advices for hotels around the site?

Thank you again!!

Hello,

I have a couple of questions about purchasing a Gold pass.

A) What is the e-mail address to send the photos to? and

B) How will the photos be matched up with the Gold pass purchase, as these are requested/sent at different times? Is there a code or number to include in the email?

Many thanks in advance.

The closest hotel is the Ibis Earls Court. But it really depends on what you are looking for. Will a Bed and Breakfast style hotel do?

You will need to include your order number when you send your photo. Photo is to be sent to info@collectormania.com unless something has changed.

travel lodge Fulham is 15 min walk away and £33 a night, bargain price

Please may I ask where you're seeing this? I've just gone to look for it in their website and for the Friday to Sunday even if I pay now it's £68 and £57 for the 2 nights, so £125 in total.

Why not... I don't know what to expect from a hotel or a B&B. But for only two nights, I think it could do pretty well ^^

Do you have any advices?

Can you name some hotels you've been at in the past? Then I can get a feeling what your comfort level is. Friends of mine really like Easy Hotel. But the rooms are tiny and very orange and it's definitely not for everyone. ;)

Well, I have been in London once but it was like 5-6 years ago and I don't remember the name of the hotel I stayed in.

I'm just looking for a nice place (not too expensive too ^^) to stay for two nights. And either close to Kings Cross station or the the site of LFCC.

But I may be able to find a friend willing to host me ^^

Edit : Easy Hotel seems nice and not too expensive! Is there breakfast and dinner in the room price?

Just a last thing : what happens on the friday evening? I don't know if I should take a ticket for this or not...

It's a preview night. You can get a feeling about the set up. Some guests are already signing and apparently for the first time there's photosessions too.

Yeah, I just saw that Peter Dinklage is doing a photoshoot on friday evening too! That's great!

I have another question (^^) : if I buy a ticket for a photoshoot on friday, for example, and if I can't do it because there is too many people (is this possible?), can I do it the next day without having to buy another ticket? It's kind of the only thing I worry about but since I planned to be there saturday and sunday (and maybe friday), I should not have a problem, right?

Thanks you again for your answers !! ^^

If you get a photo shoot ticket you will get your photo that day. You can't miss out because too many people are in line. The only thing you need to be careful of is to arrive at the right time. If you go to the photo session an hour after the shoot has ended of course that won't work out.

  • 2 weeks later...

Another question about the shipping of the tickets : how are shipped the photoshoot tickets (and the gold pass if there is) if bought at two different times? (If I buy some now and some for other guests in two month for example).

And something I forgot : they can be shipped in France right? ^^

About the autographs : we have to buy the tickets on site. But if I buy one autograph ticket on friday evening for example, do I have to do it on the friday or can I do it on saturday or on sunday? Is it "day specific" like the photoshoot tickets?

Thank you very much and sorry for all my questions ^^

Photoshoot tickets are generally posted out one order at a time. They can be sent to international addresses - just be sure to select international postage at checkout.

You pay for the autographs literally in the queue for the guest - for less busy guests it will be right at the guest's table. You don't get a ticket and THEN go queue.

Okay!

So, I need an advice ^^ : do you think it would be wise to get photoshoot tickets for the saturday knowing almost all the talks (for the moment) are on saturday? Or should I try to get tickets for saturday or sunday? (I don't know if I express myself correctly ^^)

Since we don't know the planning in advance, what would you suggest for photoshoot?

That is totally up to you. If you know most talks you want to attend at the moment are on Saturday now I personally would go for Sunday to avoid clashes.
