There seem to be a lot of people attending DSTL as their first ever show or going on their own.

We  have all made friends at the shows over the years, and for most of us (me included) it was through chatting in a topic like this before the show.  

So...................what is everyone looking forward to the most?

I am really hoping to crew, so will hopefully get to meet loads of you.  I think it will be awesome and I bet there are more people in cosplay at this show than any of the others I have been to/crewed

Well I am likely to order koenigs auto off pre order site ig they have one as I nearly have TOS complete autos so I want to garuntee I get it :). Also I am getting photos with janeway and shatner and will likely get autos with loads of others

For us (my boyfriend and me) it will be a 5 days trip. Going by train to the airport and in Londen City to our hotel. From the minute we step into the car to drive to air trainstation until we are back home again, will be one adventure.

What I'm looking forward the most? Difficult to say. Everything I think. If luck is with us (and no guest is canceling his/her apperances) I will have a photo with Kate, something I could not have imagened a year ago. 6 Years ago, when I started to know Star Trek the first time for real, I did not even knew her name yet, and only saw/knew her as "woman who sat in that chair".

My guess (and I know myself quite wel ) is I'll be very nervous for this 'very first'-moment. I have had such a moment before, 9 years ago, with my former idol, and the minute I saw this person the first time, my feet sank into the floor (not a very comforable feeling I can tell you). But how bad the nerves where, the photo I had made that day was very nice.

I've had twice before the chance to see/meet Kate before. FC 2006 and the CT also in Düsselforf, but the time "was not right" for it. You have to be with the right people, to go on with it.

For the sunday I have booked a Talk with/from Kate. And I hope to be on time for buying an autograph (not yet decided where I would like her to put it on)

And all others?... We'll let it controlled come over us

I need to finish my captains autograph,, so I have two autos to get that weekend.

Wow you are travelling a long way!  Sounds exciting!

The guests are all so nice!  Definitely no need to be nervous about it.   There is usually a queue for the autographs so get chatting to the people around you, I do

I'm looking forward to finally achieving the dream I've had since age 8 and going to a Star Trek convention! I've also ordered a uniform to wear - after all "when in Rome!".

awesome.  which trek uniform have you gone for?

I absolutely love the cadet uniform from the new trek film and especially the boots, but would have to go as just a general cadet rather than a specific cast member (strictly to attend the parties of course, - crew shirts mandatory lol)

Debating buying another one though. May smell by the Sunday otherwise...

going by how hot Excel was for the olympic fencing, hopefully we get multiple crew shirts too

Coming in from the Netherlands as well.
I will be flying to LCY and back to AMSterdam.

I booked a hotel close to the Excel, since I loathe public transportation .

I have 4 photoshoots with the first 4 captains. Nothing else yet.
However, I'm seriously pondering a photoshoot with John de Lancie.

I'm waiting a bit on the 'rest of the announcements'.

I've been a Star Trek fan since I was a kid, so always wanted to go to something like this. I haven't decided yet if I've got the balls to wear a costume...I have always wanted one

just come back from olympics and i was at excel!!! will it always be that hot???? If so i may have to dress as a Dabo girl to keep cool....and i'm a bloke!

I did have a good time, but it could have been a con for anything and it wouldn't have made a difference I cared that little about the content
