Im just outside manchester and its very very very very very windy!!!

I took the dog out for a walk before and it felt like the wind was blowing me off my feet (which was kinda cool cos it felt a bit like flying!!! )

Anyway my poor little doggys ears were being blown right back and she looked so funny!!! (Cos shes got massive ears!)

Whereabouts near Manchester are you?

We went out earlier and it was chaos. My mum looked totally windswept when we got home. I had the sense to tie my hair up. Some guy had balloons and I think he was about ready to take off

As a piece of advice. Three friends of mine (all brothers) independantly built houses. One made of straw, one made of wood, but one invested wisely and built his house out of brick.

Now it so happens that a competitor wanted to eat them all. He went to the first straw house and blew it down no trouble at all, the brother ran to the second brothers house. But the competitor (whom I'll call Mr. B. B. Wolf) blew that house down too. Both brothers ran to the brick house, but there Mr. BBW was stumped and couldn't blow the house down.

The three brothers would have lived there safely except I popped round recently, and well its difficult to tell the full story, but suffice to say I like bacon sandwiches and know how to pick locks.

Anyway the moral of this TRUE story is so long as your house is made of brick you're safe. (Unless you taste good in a bacon sandwich).

OMG OMFG my house....its..it's gone! no joke its really bad.. i am s***ting it... my mum rang up our insurence company and asked whether the conservatory, shed, fence and roof is fully insured...thats how bad it is

Hell we are going through the same, thank heavens the trees at the back were safely cut back a few months ago! Our shed is alright, a bit naked but fine....the roof is a bit bare but nothing that can't be fixed when the wind dies.

Any way, I have been in worse.... *reminisces about the hurricane of '87*
