Just got an e-mail saying that individual tickets are now available for purchase.
Slightly frustrated by the way the party tickets have been done. My gold ticket gets me into the Friday night party only. It would have been nice to have a choice of which party you attended (the Saturday sounds more my cup of tea !)

And I would like to know what is going to be the difference between a "free talk" from -any captain- and a "payed talk". I assume the prices are per person?
D.S.T.L. was Great!

Friday @ Opening Ceremony =
Our chair was a bit in the back, but never the less... I saw her on stage! (meeting Kate first)

Saturday @ Photoshoot Time =
Queue was long (was present @ the queue around 17.20, photo was taken around 18,45) , my number was 666, choke her hand & said "Hi" *flits* (meeting Kate second)

Sunday @ Guest Talk Time =
her talk was very nice (perhaps talking to Kate third)

I thought I have read somewhere else that they are going to to do so..? There would be free talks and payed talks, as far as I've understood it.

not sure I am afraid.  They will announce in the Star Trek forum when dates are available so you could subscribe to the forum (if you haven't already) for more information.

You could also follow DSTL on Twitter for updates there too

I'm assuming that if you want to have to go to a captain's talk you'll have to pay - depending on the ticket you have already purchased for the event.   Some of them do include talks.

We only have standard sat/sun tickets, so nothing included.

Can someone confirm what we get for the £25 (or £40 or whatever) with the party tickets?  Drinks, pictures of us with drunken friends and smearing greasepaint half-planted in a bucket of Romulan ale, a go at Klingon karaoke--you know, whatever, other than just walking in the door. ;)  Cheers.

Well what do you think is included in a party? lol

Most of the price will go on the hiring of whatever room we are in. Which for an event of this size will be pretty big and so pretty expensive.

Plus all the equipment and such. Seeing as there will be live music and performances as well as the usual DJ playing music and all the bar staff and such.

Dosnt come cheap.
Attended:

CM:MK 2-18, LFCC '07-'12, CM:Midlands 1-3, CM:L 1-2, Hub 2-4, Glasgow '09, , Bad Wolf, EMS 1-2

Attending:

CM:MK 19, LFCC '13, EMS 3, Destination Star Trek London

I've never been to an event where you got free drinks at the party.

I've got a gold membership and am a fairly easy going guy but i've gotta say i feel proper stitched up by this whole 'ticket to the party' thing.
'THE' would suggest it is the main party and surely the 25 year celebration party is gonna be a bigger event that Martok and some mixers.
It's also bound to be busier as there will be more people on the Saturday.

You could at least offer Gold passes a discount off the other party. Make it £15 as the £25 for the Friday is already covered in our ticket price.

Then you've been to the wrong parties?  Look, I'm not that fussed about it; I just want to know what everything comes with so I can budget. If I have to decide between a talk and a party, for instance, and I doubt I'm the only person here who can't or won't just keep buying more and more stuff--it's fine, things cost what they do and I'm okay with not doing all of it, but there's really no need to be condescending about how much equipment and djs and the like cost. I'm well aware of that, but really just wanted an answer to the question. If the answer is 'nothing but walking in the door', you could have just said as much.

Must agree with BotanyBay, a choice of party for having a gold ticket would have been nice, looks like I'll be forking out more dough! Am staying close by so just as well going to the parties, pre party warm up at the hotel :)

I am afraid we don't have any more information other than what is currently on the website, as soon as they have it they will let us know

I was wondering if an admin had an answer to my question of whether i am entitled to a discount off the second party.
I've technically paid £25 already with my Gold pass and being as purchasing both parties is £10 cheaper do i therefore get the opportunity to purchase the Saturday party for £15?

Regards,

Tom.

Slightly annoyed now, someone finally got back to me regarding this and apparatly Gold pass holders do not get a £10 discount.
My reasoning in the previous post was clearly not valid as they said why would i need a discount being as i already have one ticket meaning the second ticket will cost me £25 pound instead of £40, never mind the fact that the £25 for the Friday night makes up part of the £300 i paid....lol.
They then said they would not provide a discount as they didn't want to devalue other packages. I'm assuming they are referring to the packages that include both parties which they have already devalued by providing non-pass holders with a £10 discount.
Ironically the passes they are not devaluing by doing this are the ones that don't include the Saturday party, which i'd be happy for them to do if it means i get a tenner off.
Clearly £300 is not enough to spend to get some sort of loyalty return, let alone the cost of additional autos/photos and the pics which aren't even included...and all this money pales in comparison next to the amount of money i plan to spend at the bar ;)
