hello,
this is going to be my first ever convention and im so excited, ive read alot of other people asking questions about certain things but didnt come across a thread which could answer a few questions i have.

im relatively new to reading comics and watching anime. so im wandering as a new person to these sort of things what should i look out for to buy.

ive only read 2 comics, vampirella-holy war and amazing spiderman #129

as for anime, ive always loved pokemon, watched every episode and film, got several of the old game boy colour games(that i still play :P) and well over a 1000 trading cards. (i dont play the card game just like collecting them)
i also have final fantasy vii(7) advent children and ghost in the shell on dvd and i did watch a series of ouran highschool host club which was pretty good.

my tastes are: fantasy, sci-fi, action, comedy, adventure, thriller, horror and a bit of mystery (i dont mind some romance but not that into it).

im looking for a small list i can make so i can try buy em all before i go nuts and end up spending all my money on something i didnt really want but thought was awesome at the time (im terrible with money :> )

---------

also ive been looking but couldnt find much info,
im looking to maybe get some cool models of Star wars characters and maybe an alien or predator one, (not huge models no bigger then 30cm in height)
so like what are the normal prices for a model that size or smaller?

also will there be console and pc games for sale?
such as psp, nintendo DS, nintendo 64 and even the nintendo entertainment system, that first came it out in japan in 1983 and america 1985

and last but not least for films, will there be a large selection of DvD's?(not bluray) trying to complete sets of films like alien, freddy kruger, predator, terminator, jason, james bond etc etc

thanks in advance :)

Helo and welcome to the forum. :) You may want to have a look here for some general event info: http://showmasterson...showtopic=74405

I'm afraid I'll have to leave most of your questions to other members because I am unfortunately not familiar much with anime. There are stalls selling models, but again I've just been watching and never paid attention to the price. I've also seen dealers offer the odd video game on occasion, but I can not recall seeing a dedicated stall.

Hope that helps a little bit.

Theres normally loads of stalls selling all manner of things and I guess it would be quite impossible (apart from maybe the traders themselves) to comment on prices.  Id probably use one word and thats 'expensive' lol but then thats waht you come to expect ;)

As for DVDs to be perfectly honest the stalls Ive seen in the past, again have been pretty dear and without taking business away from the LFCC traders youd get better prices fromplay, amazon, ebay, zavvi etc or most online retailers when attempting to complete your 007 collections etc.

Enjoy

But, you can get US releases early. Which in the old days meant you needed a region 1/multi-region player. Blu-rays however are by-and-large region free so yuo can pick up a blu-ray of a film a few months early and play it :)
