I just wanted to come on here and have a little chat, help bring everyone get up to date and also help some of the new people on here get to know who we are a bit more
To start of WOW! What a response! Thank you all for getting behind this event. With this amazing support we know that this event will go down in Trek History asthe event to have been at. We have so much we are working on here we have had to take on more people just to keep up with all we have planned for you all
Now as some of you know we have been running events for years here, and lots of you have attended our events. This event is not going to be like any other event we have ran before.
We will be using some of the things that work well at our other events, but lots of things we are planning are going to be different. One thing is for sure though; we are good at sorting out what will work and what will not, and many weeks of thought goes into the way we run all our events. We want you all to be awere that some things will be different on the day, this is not because we just want to try something new, it's because this is a brand new type of event and not like anything we have run before. It is a hybrid of a classic convention and a huge signing show, and as such we have to take the best part of each type of event and combine them to make it the best event possible for you all.
So for those of you that know our events very well, please remember this is a new event and things are going to be different, but they are different for the best. Please try to look at this with an open mind as we do really care about putting on the best event we can for all of you. If we can do something that's really cool we will, and if we can give you something extra we will. We are a business, but we have always run these events as events we would like to attend ourselves, so we do have you all at heart. We try to run every aspect of the event in a way thats fair and good for the masses and that moves on to my next point.
How many of you there are!!
I said it before but WOW! We knew we had something here when we started talking it over with our partners at Media 10; Rob, Suzy and Jill, but none of us thought that it would have gone like this! It's quite amazing, but there are a lot of you so we ask you to help us put this event on by way of understanding. There are a lot of you all wanting to know every aspect of the event asap and we understand that there's a lot to know. This forum is here to help with that, to give you a place to chat and to understand the event even more. Our mods are here to also help you. They do their best to answer all the points you want to know, but their job it relentless, as one person gets the info they need, there is always another, so please be cool on here and remember we are here to help. We try very hard to get it right and fair first time. Now I have seen the odd person take things a little far and feeling like they have to start to talk legal to enforce their point. We understand your rights, and we are only here to provide you with what we say we will provide. We never try to mislead or misdescribe what we are offering on any way. We have had one or two points that have not been clear and in these cases we have really tried very hard to clarify what it is we are saying and to provide a clear and fair outcome. We hope you can all see that, and also see we are only here to run the best event we can for you all. Over the next few months we will be putting up more and more of the activities and things you are going to be able to experience at the event, and as time gets closer you will get to know more of what we have planned. We are not being cagey here, we have to get contracts signed off by many people to make things happen, but as and when, we are ready to announce we will inform you all as to what's happening. With all what we have planned we will mess up occasionally as we are only human, but please remember we will resolve it in a way that's fair and reasonable, and also if we do mess up, we will put up our hand and just say so. We are not frightened of saying "you know what? We just got that bit wrong."
It happens, not often with us as we really try to go over it before it goes live, but it might happen and if anyone's going to find out where we messed up, it's you! The 15,000 forum members that sometimes work it out and see something we did not, even though we have gone over it for weeks. 
Anyway, thank you for your comments. Please remember we are all here to give you an amazing show and we only want you to have a great time with us. We are looking out for you, the fans, and we are looking forward to this chance to do the things we only dreamed of. We are so happy to be able to do this together with you all.
