I'm amazed by those prices! Thanks! I'm glad I didn't pay $100 for Scott Bakula in the states!

*happy dance!*

I'm quite pleased with these prices, I was worried we might see significant increases to SM event prices what with them all being in the same place at the same time.

We really feel it is important to keep prices as realistic as possible for everyone!  :YAHOO:

Obviously there are always other pressures to increase prices but we are committed to ensuring this event is not only the best Star Trek event The UK has ever seen, but also that it is affordable and great value for money for all.

Thats me sold, gold pass just ordered!

ohhhh yes! I'm going. Will Patrick Stewart and William Shatner be doing photo shoots on Saturday and Sunday? Or only doing a day? Do i need two day standard or can just get one?

There's no schedule currently so I don't think it has been confirmed who will be doing shots when, or if they're doing them on more than one day. Sorry.

I know it's been mentioned before, but now that the prices for autos & photos have been released, I'm even more confused as to why the Platinum tickets are sooo expensive. I mean, there's of course the GUARANTEED captain autos, best seats for the captains talks etc. But still... A gold ticket, plus autos & photos with ALL the captains still comes to like £610. So what exactly is the extra £290 getting me? I'm just not sure what the appeal is supposed to be for a platinum ticket.

The main reason I'm asking is because I was gonna go platinum. Can someone, I dunno, "sell it to me" I guess lol. Otherwise, I may as well go gold.

Will the schedule be known when the photo shoot tickets come on sale? I only want a photo shoot with Patrick Stewart. Can't afford another full weekend, already doing Chevron 7.9 and HW4. Otherwise I'll have to give it a miss  :-(

That's very very unlikely I'm afraid. The schedule will not be posted until much closer to the time when we know how many guests there will be etc.

Saying that I understand that at least knowing days is important, I'll ask the office.

I'm afraid at the moment us mods don't have any more information than you do on the tickets.

Someone from the office maybe able to shed more light on it. I shall ask.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if we buy a ticket for a photo online and somehow miss the shoots (I'm not planning on it, just throwing it out there!) or they finish before we get to the front of the line then will we essentially have lost out?

We only sell as many tickets are we can get through. If you have a ticket you will get seen. Should you miss the shoot, go to the organisers booth and we'd see what we can arrange. It certainly will not be a simple "o'well tuff luck" situation. We always do our best to make sure everyone is happy.

Another silly question.  Will the photoshoots have a VQ system as well?

You've got your maths wrong as the platinum doesn't include the 5 captains photo shoots.

So it's actually gold, plus autos & photos comes to £610.
Platinum plus photo's comes to £1055.

So it's £445 extra.

You've already highlighted the benefits I guess. Guaranteed auto's and sat at the front. Plus presumably better goodies in the bag and platinum collectors card.

They don't have a VQ system as such, in that as long as you have a ticket YOU will get seen. But at our other shows the photo tickets are numbered. So we do call people in groups of 50. So we'll call 1-50, 1-100, 1-150 etc, so you'll never miss your turn but we don't have hundreds of people all turn up at the same time. I'm assuming we'll be using a similar system at this event, but as it's See Tickets doing the tickets I can't be 100% sure how it'll be implemented at present.

As this is y first con, I was wondering, when I buy an photo with let's say Patrick Steward, can I shake his hand and talk to him a little bit, or do I just get in-smile-click-next and get out? And how does that process work with the autographs?

Thanks!

Oh yeh, you're right. Crikey!! Why ARE they so pricey then... I'll wait and see what peeps at the office have to say on it, but I think I'm headed for gold tbh. Which is actually a little relieving... I could feel my bank account going into cardiac arrest!!! lol

From previous experience, the most you'll get is a handshake and a 'hi' IF a guest wants to do that.

The autograph signings are more for a 'chat' but even then that depends on how busy they are etc. You might get a few sentences if you're lucky, but really you are just paying for the autograph and anything else is a bonus.

So yes, really expect a smile-click-next with the photo, and if you get anything else then you're lucky
