I totally agree!
D.S.T.L. was Great!

Friday @ Opening Ceremony =
Our chair was a bit in the back, but never the less... I saw her on stage! (meeting Kate first)

Saturday @ Photoshoot Time =
Queue was long (was present @ the queue around 17.20, photo was taken around 18,45) , my number was 666, choke her hand & said "Hi" *flits* (meeting Kate second)

Sunday @ Guest Talk Time =
her talk was very nice (perhaps talking to Kate third)

I think it's pretty save to say that nobody here -except for the showmastes themselfs- knows how it works with inviting the people for this con. And everybody is very curious about the next announcement. Without any doubt, myself included.  But to start a disagreement or a fight about this subject, that has no purpose what so ever.
Even tough it takes a while in our eyes for the next guest to line up, we just must have faith and  some patient.

If I am correct there was between the 5 captain's announcement and the next guests also a big gap of time. We just had the luck that in one week 10 other guest were announced. For me the line is great with (to use only the first name) Kate, Martha, John en Alice (tough I believe Susanna Thomson was the -only- borgqueen in Voyager and not Alice Kriger)

The announcment will come, when everything is finished.

I was following this thread - there seems to be some missing???????? This has me worried. A person on here was stating it was strange no more guests have been announced. While i understand you moderators don't know anything. Is it possible to have some more announcements. I need to plan a bit. much like the other person was saying, i too don't have much money either.
Is this the end of the guests unless we have some late unplanned additions?? If so i'll then use my money to book remaining photos!!

As was mentioned, after a few weeks we'll be charged for additional bookings!!!

I'm really sorry that the post removal has you worried. It happened to avoid just that, to keep attendees from beginning to worry. The posts unfortunately went way off from the initial question very soon.

I would be extremely surprised if this is the end of the guest list. But this is my personal opinion, none of the mods are involved with booking guests.

Unfortunately guests can and will only be announced when contracts are signed. A lot of the time the 'bigger' a guest is the closer to the event it will be before they can commit - most guests don't WANT to have to pull out of events like this, so won't agree until they're a bit more sure of their schedule. For busy working actors, this can be a matter of weeks (and even then things might end up changing on them). The last 3-4 weeks before an event is therefore often the busiest time for guest announcements. Take Jonathan Frakes for example. He has cancelled a couple of times already, so he's possibly one of the ones holding out to prevent fans from being disappointed again.

It certainly did make me worry. Shame some of the stuff the person was saying made me laugh too. Frakes is the one i am desperate for - he dropped out of LFCC i was so disappointed, only smelling Jeri Ryan managed to soften the blow....still in love. I hope it's a great turn out by all the stars, would make it even more special.

Local convention near me - Sylveter McCoy had to pull out the day before as he had to fly back to New Zealand to do reshoots for the Hobbit.

Beginning to think posting on here is a waste of time. Anything you say is edited! BIg Brother? Why have the forum if you're only allowed to say things that SM like. Very disappointing.

That exchange that was deleted was going off topic and turning into a slagging off match, so I think the mods were right to delete it. At the end of the day, Showmasters pay for the webspace this forum is hosted on so it's their rules!

Hello,

Sorry if this question has been asked a number of times before (this is my 1st post) but my boyfriend is a HUGE fan of Star Trek and wants to attend the event mainly for the 5 Captain's talk. Looking on the website, it says you have to buy an entry ticket and then you can buy additional items such as talks. How much if the Captain's talk and what day is it on so I can buy the entry ticket for that day?

Thanks in advance for your help =)

About the Captains Talk: sorry, no information about the time and price has been announced yet. The thing we do know, that it is on friday.

Ofcourse you can always buy the 5 single captains talk (if they are still available). But for this I guess you have to buy a saturday/sunday of higher entry ticket, otherwise I think you have a time problem...

I mean whether showmasters will be doing the Pre-order-Absentee thing where youcan purchase a signed auto and it is delivered to your home after the event

The last info I have on this was that it was being discussed. Sorry, I realize that doesn't help much. But at least it's not a definite "no". ;)

I will only be visiting the exhibition on the Saturday; we are staying over Friday evening, then travelling to the Excel on the Saturday morning. Our train home leaves at 20:30, and the exhibition finishes at 19:00, this will not give us time to get back to the hotel for our bags. Will there be any lockers or cloak services for us to bring these with us?

Yes, the ExCel is running a cloakroom. It's on the lower ground by the car park.

I've seen people squeeze upwards of 20 shoots into a day - yes they usually end up with some clashes but with a little thought (and where necessary the help of the crew) a clash doesn't mean missing any shoots.
It depends on what else you want to fit into the day (autographs, talks etc)
Attended: Hub2 (S86), Hub3 (S9), CM:London 2009, Hub4 (S2), Invasion Spring 2010 (ST128), Bad Wolf 2010 (ST68), Roadhouse (S1), Hub5 (S2), Hallowhedon2 (S20), Hub6 (S2), Hallowhedon3 (S1), Hub7 (S68), Hub8 (S6), Hallowhedon4 (S1)
Crewed: CM16, LFCC 2010, CM:London 2010, CM17, LFCC 2011, Sportsmania 2011, CM18, LFCC 2012, CM Glasgow 2012, EMS 2012, Autographica 2012, Star Trek London, Eternal Twilight 9
Definitely Attending/Crewing: CM19, Chevron 8.0, LFCC 2013, Hallowhedon5
Possible/Probable: CMG 2013, CFCC 2013, CM20
