I bought mine ok. Maybe it's worth giving them a call?

Could be anything from their website, to your internet, to you card provider and any number of other issues in between. If others have bought tickets since your post, and you are still not able to if you try again, that suggests either an issue with your card provider or bank for the online authorisation (could be caused by the website itself, or you bank/card issuer objecting the website's submitted data). Only way to find out is to call See Tickets directly I guess and see if they can process it for you so it's not going through whatever authorisation system the website uses (assuming they don't use the same system lol)

I added some photoshoots to my existing order last night (Monday 16th approx 10pm). Everything went through no problem.

I see no reason why there wouldn't be. There's plenty still to announce properly :)

I have a question. At the moment i havent purchased too many pictures for various reasons but if I get to the event and find that I have more time than i thought and want to buy a photo with a guest (assuming it hasnt sold out), can I purchase them then and there on the day?  One of my reasons is i dont want to be running from guests to guest signings, talks etc and miss the experience of DSTL.  But if it goes smoothly and the timings are right and i find myself with free time, can I get a photo on the day?

Hello Showmasters?  anyone there, any chance of a response please!

For usual SM events you can buy tickets on the day for anything that hasn't sold out.

I cant remeber if this has been asked but...

Is it possible to upgrade standard entry to a weekend entry ? As i think i can make both days but dont want to have to pay another £20.00 if i can get weekend and save £10.00 (and a pre-signed photo). If not would i be able to cancel a ticket as i really dont want to have to pay another 29 for a sunday ticket?

Thanks

Here's to hoping they can :-)

Hi,

First time on a forum and I've just scrolled through (and read) 31 pages of info! Phew.

I see that people have asked time and time again about buying separate tickets for the 5 Captains' Talk on the Friday - and, after all, this is what it's all about and what we want to see - but the only answer has been that separate tickets will be available to buy for those who can only afford the event passes. However, there still doesn't seem to be any option for this on the website.

So, again, any ideas about when these may become available to purchase and also, at what price, please? I realise that you are probably waiting to see how many Gold/Platinum passes, etc., you will sell first, in order to reckon up on how many places will be up for grabs in the hall but this issue must be holding up people from booking as we can't decide  on which event tickets to purchase. To be honest, if there is no chance that we can get into the 5 Captains' Talk on the Friday, then what's the point of buying a ticket for that day?

I hope that someone can answer this as it's so frustrating to think that we may come to the 5 Captains' convention and not see them together. We'd be gutted.
Cheers.

I had the same problem wanting to add a 2nd entry ticket, but after posting in a different thread and receiving clarifying comments from other people I just gave up and paid the extra GBP 1.80.

I agree it's not very customer-friendly in our particular cases but I imagine it's a shortcoming of the ticket grouping system they basically threw together in the last minute so most people would save money when adding on extra's over time to their existing ticket orders.

Hi,

Further to my comments, above, about the 5 Captains' talk on Friday.

Just let me quote directly from the convention website page:

It's been a long time coming but finally European fans of Star Trek will witness all five captains on stage in London this October.
Patrick Stewart, Scott Bakula, Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks and the legendary William Shatner will appear together for one very special talk during the weekend of Destination Star Trek London. It won't matter which series you preferred or liked best, there will be something for everyone on that stage so make sure you have the best seat in the house.

Well, oh, no, we won't and, oh, no, there isn't!

I've had a reply from the organisers in which they tell me that only silver, gold, platinum and vip attendees will be allowed in the talk as there is now no room for the rest of us. If I could splutter in indignation in print, I would. Honestly, how can it be all right to advertise a con this way, let us pay for the tickets and then tell us that it won't happen? Surely there's something wrong, there.

I can understand the reason that the hall is filled by the lucky lot who can afford these expensive tickets but could not a second talk be arranged for the hundreds or thousands of us who will miss out? We've been taunted for ages now, by saying that tickets for the 5 Captains' talk will eventually be sold separately but apparently that is not going to happen and we're left out in the cold after purchasing tickets on the promise of seeing all 5 Captains together. To my reckoning, seeing all 5 of them together, on stage, is exactly the reason why we've booked and exactly the way in which the con is being advertised.

The reply said that due to photo shoots and autograph hunters there will be no time to schedule another 5 Captains' talk. Hmm. What should take priority here, I wonder? Perhaps it should be the advertised witness all five captains on stage that we've all been promised when we paid our money.

So, it looks as though we've paid our monies but we'll be standing outside the hall, trying to listen through the closed doors. Not exactly how I envisioned spending the Opening Ceremony and 5 Captians' Talk. I can't describe how disappointed I am.

In fairness to the organisers here, under the ticket descriptions it has never said that the 1/2/3 day standard tickets included the 'opening ceremony/captains talk' but silver, gold and platinum do state, and have always stated:

"1 Ticket to Opening Ceremony/Captain's Talk^"
^ Opening Ceremony/Captain's Talk is the talk featuring William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula on stage together (subject to work commitments)

If you wanted to go to it, then buy the ticket that includes it, its not their fault you chanced that they would make it available separatley. And if you can't afford it, I'm sorry but thats life! no point kicking up a stink about it is there. I would have liked a VIP ticket but hey, I've got to go with what I can afford.

This was one of the main perks of getting silver/gold/platinum tickets as opposed to the standard ones and doing add ons, which is always a risk, as the bundle type tickets almost always have otherwise unobtainable extras, otherwise there'd be no point in doing those kinds of tickets!
So no, theyre not lying, and nobody has been conned. It's like saying that theyre lying about being able to get a 'limited edition print', which you can, so long as you've bought the ticket that includes it. Simple.
