Is that to try? or because you already like it?

I tried one for the first time recently and 1) it wasnt the colour it should be :P (fanboy nitpick) and 2) it wasnt all that great tasting. Was better with some adult beverage added though hehe

A quick question for the organisers:

Will the official party (or parties) be within walking distance of the Excel or the on-site hotels?

Edited to add: apologies. I see from the main site that the parties are indeed going to be hosted on-site. Any update on where exactly they're being held and ticket prices?

Hi!
I have never been to a Star Trek convention and I have always wanted to go to one, so this event seems really exciting!!  :D
But I have a couple of questions... if I purchase a standard ticket other than event access, what would that entitle me to once inside? I understand that there are certain things like Captains talks/photo shoots/Opening ceremony etc are paid extras (in a sense). Will I have access to exhibits for example - props, the Bridge!!! I dont want to pay for entry then only be able to see the dealer stalls and thats it. Some clarification on exactly what standard ticket gets you would be helpful.

Also what are the rules on photography, I read about event talks with the rules on flash photography, staying seated etc, but what of the exhibits etc. For example viewing the Enterprise bridge would I be able to take pictures?

Sorry if I have rambled lol!

What experiences have people had at such events (I'm quite introverted so not used to socialising like this)?

:(  :D

There will DEFINITELY be more to do with the standard ticket than just entry to the event and the dealers. The final details haven't been sorted quite yet, but there's definitely plans to give EVERYONE more than enough to do :D .. and yes, that'll probably include props, and some free talks etc.

As the exhibit details haven't been announced yet, nothing about photography etc has either unfortunately. I'm sure all of that will be confirmed once everything's in place.

Anyone dressing up in costume?

If so what you going as?

Probably, 'cause I love costumes! I have a cadet's dress uniform in the 2009 film style that I'll probably be in...not sure I can be bothered to paint myself green, though, so will probably just be human. :whistling:

I'll be wearing my First Contact era costume on one day. It's one of those from the sadly now defunct Warp One store.

Hi,

I and a few others on  Facebook DSTL 2012 have seen this link below

http://www.startrek....-up-transporter
Fans can beam themselves and their friends in and out – for free -- using a combination of an iPhone/iPad and a Trek-style “Augmented Reality” technology poster of the star trek transporter.

Is ther any chance that this could be available at Destination Star Trek London?
This would be a fantastic addition to the event and would be really great to
pass the time while waiting for a talk, autograph session or photoshoot to take place.

What do you think? Could you? Please, Pretty please Lol

Hi ya

I want to see the mighty Shatner doing a talk or something. (But not singing).
Even better I'd like to see the five captains together.

If I buy a day ticket, is there any information yet on how to buy the 'talk tickets' for individual events? Which day should I buy?

Cheers,

ClawsOfAxos

Talk tickets can be bought on the website, but you need a ticket reference to be able to buy them (as with the photo shoots).

If I log in with my booking reference, I can book talk tickets for all 5 Captains on either Saturday or Sunday

When I booked my talk tickets (21th of june), all captains were available for single talks on both saturday as sunday. Kate's talk is 15 GBP p.p.. I do not know how much the other captains are by head, but I believe only William's tickets is more expensive. You can only see the prices when you already have an bookingcode, which means you must first book/purchese your entry ticket.
D.S.T.L. was Great!

Friday @ Opening Ceremony =
Our chair was a bit in the back, but never the less... I saw her on stage! (meeting Kate first)

Saturday @ Photoshoot Time =
Queue was long (was present @ the queue around 17.20, photo was taken around 18,45) , my number was 666, choke her hand & said "Hi" *flits* (meeting Kate second)

Sunday @ Guest Talk Time =
her talk was very nice (perhaps talking to Kate third)
