This is so utterly amazing.   :YAHOO:   I think I'm having palpitations.

Now all I have to do is convince hubby that yes, this is a GOOD thing, and that yes, we might be going to HW4 the following weekend, but this is Star Trek, no force greater in the universe.

And I desperately need Scott Bakula to complete my Captains set.

Can we have first officers too ...?

OMG, what can I sell to buy all the tickets I want ...?

This maybe a silly question, having never been to a fan convention before.. when you get a ticket for the autograph  signing, do you bring your own stuff to sign?
How much do these autographs cost on average?

Thanks

Not a silly question.

Autograph prices for this event have not been released yet. This event is somewhat different to the usual signing events that SM run so the pricing may (or may not) be different as well. Typical autograph pricing at a signing event varies from £10 -£20. Some guests are more than this, £25-£35.

Yes you can bring your own items to be signed. Although there are normally a selection of 10"x8" images available at the event.

Might be a stupid question, does the 3 day standard entry mean people are still entitled for autographs and photoshoots with the captains, or do people have to go silver/gold for them?

dunno, but i just hope i get see/meet them with a one day pass - my dad will only take me for the saturday! thats good enough for me

Yes, it does.

Every ticket type has the chance to buy photoshoots with guests including the captains, and buy anything else. Autographs are the same, but wont be available before the show, it'll be an on-the-day thing.
Attended:

CM:MK 2-18, LFCC '07-'12, CM:Midlands 1-3, CM:L 1-2, Hub 2-4, Glasgow '09, , Bad Wolf, EMS 1-2

Attending:

CM:MK 19, LFCC '13, EMS 3, Destination Star Trek London

Or more than one bridge!

Yeah I got from the post that David pointed to that it was just you and the bridge Rob lol

Still cool though, especially if its the TNG bridge for me. But TOS would be cool too.

Hell, my dream oen would be the E bridge but I doubt that'll happen.

I am sure you guys are working hard to make this event a success and trying to bring more guests but really having a photo-shoot with all 5 captains will be AMAZING!!! Please DO TRY to make it happen! You have already succeeded in bringing all five captains to a single convention for a first time! So make the photo-shoot happen also! We fan would just LOVEEEEEEEEEEE it.

As for the bridge, I would definitely prefer the TNG or the new star trek 2009 bridge.

It's a shame that they have put up that advert - it looks like they are trying to ruin your convention. Just like another group who don't like SM's and have a minor get together the same weekend who have been bad mouthing your excellent efforts all over their public Facebook page all afternoon and evening!  It's childish really, but no unexpected knowing their history.

Less lould americans.... haha true!

Im sure the whole experience at DSTL is gonna be epic and it does nothing to diminish the experience I reckon we are going to get.  Just a shame really.  Of course it could be overcome by getting Chris Pine and Bruce Greenwood !!

I bet the guys and girls that work with DSTL have a few tricks up their sleeves to make this the best Star Trek party ever! Have no worries about that. :D

Just received a confirmation for my saturday/sunday ticket, with a photo with Kate

(that email came very quick, I'd tought it would take a few hours...)
D.S.T.L. was Great!

Friday @ Opening Ceremony =
Our chair was a bit in the back, but never the less... I saw her on stage! (meeting Kate first)

Saturday @ Photoshoot Time =
Queue was long (was present @ the queue around 17.20, photo was taken around 18,45) , my number was 666, choke her hand & said "Hi" *flits* (meeting Kate second)

Sunday @ Guest Talk Time =
her talk was very nice (perhaps talking to Kate third)
