I think the 3-day standard, for an event like this, is a damn good price.

Just have to decide if I can/want to do silver/gold lol

But I will defo be going anyway even if it's standard.

Oh and on the talk thing, it looks like the Captain's talks and stuff are limited by the ticket you have, but I'm sure the other guests once announced will be doing talks and stuff that you could do regardless of your ticket.

Well I was rather excited about this event until I saw the prices. The £49 standard ticket is great but not if it doesn't actually include you seeing any talks or meeting any of the Captains.

I presume that you will be able to buy autographs, Captain Talk Tickets, Opening Ceremony tickets, Bridge Photo shoot separately?

Any indication on prices? Its difficult to assess whether the packages are worth it without seeing what the individual elements would cost.

So, to get this straight - it's £29 just to go into the Excel centre and hang around with fans, and everything else is extra?

Well we dont know about the non-captain talks yet. They might be free like other events and so you coudl do as many as those as they have in a day on a single day ticket.

Yes this is different from the normal SM / ME way of running a convention.

But the way the ticketing options have been laid out, reminds me alot of the American pricing structure, a cheap ticket will get you in the door. But once you purchase all the add-ons, you'll be paying handsomely for especially the 5 Captain photoshoot, and the autographs.

It's too early to decide about attending, until more details about pricing is known.

How much are autographs?

How much are photoshoots

How much are talks

Will this be sold via the SM online store, or via some other online store?

Will watch to see what is announced !

You're pretty much screwed if all you want to do is get a single autograph of one of the Captains.

£29 just to get into the place is already ridiculously overpriced as is the rest of the packages.

Platinum pass at £899 is the first time it mentions being able to get a Captains autograph, people who can afford this clearly have more money than sense.

I was really looking forward to this until I realised I've been priced out of it.

No they've said that just liek other SM events, no matter what ticket you have, you can get a VQ ticket to get anyone's autograph, captain's included.

So get a single day pass and get there early enough (like any LFCC event) and you could get a decent enough VQ to meet a/all the captains

Plus more guests to come! It wont just be a Captain's event, they are just the headliners.

As I've already met them, and only really need a shoot with Avery, I'm just happy we get a Trek event and I cant wait to see who else we get

I'm a bit dubious about that from past experiences, all 5 of them will be moving between the talks, photoshoots and platninum/VIP signings. You might get a VQ ticket but I'd say the chances of actually getting an autograph are pretty slim.

Maybe I'll decide nearer the time.

Well yes, if you are going to meet all 5, and you only get a standard/day, you are limiting yourself really.

The prices as they go up garuntee you more, so cost more. This con game is all about paying your money on what you choose to.

If you choose to garuntee yourself stuff, you pay more. If like me you are going not just for the Captains, you can risk it a bit more :)

So to clarify the 3 day £49 pass gets you in the door like the Early Entry ticket at the LFCC and EMS events. Then if you want to meet the Captains you have to queue to get a VQ ticket and can buy the photoshoots & talks separately.

So the only way to see all the talks and not have to battle it out with the crowds for autographs is to pay £300 for the gold pass which doesn't include the cost of any of the 5 Captain's autographs?

I think I shall wait this one out for a while until individual price elements become clear. I had hoped for more of a convention style event like the recent Who event.

As long as you're organised and know what you're doing once you're there, I see no reason why you can't get everything you want on a Standard buy using the VQ system. It works more than well enough at signing events, and they know how to cope with big crowds.

Everything will be organised down to the minute detail. I'm looking to go standard myself, and I don't think I'll miss out on anything.

The only thing different between the Gold and Platinum pass is the 5 captains autographs, but the price difference is £600!! Are you telling me that if I got all 5 of their autographs it would cost me over £600? How much are you planning to charge?!

Yeah I'm going Silver if I can, standard if not. 100% attending though. Wouldnt miss this for the world even if I wasnt going for autos/shoots.

Just to have a huge Trek event in the UK is amazing!

Oh, quick question based on what you've said so far SM. Will party tickets be on sale seperatley too like autos/shoots/talks or is thta a gold exclusive?

We still have some details to confirm on those but as soon as we have everything sorted on the parties we will let you know on here! They will certainly be an awesome way to spend the evenings!
