Is there any chance we can get an updated list of weapons rules. The Hunger Games is a big thing this year and I know in the various cosplay topics in the events section people have been asking about bringing bows etc. I think we need a new weapons rule list which is possibly pinned to the topic of each section for easy access for all the Showmasters events not so much Massive Events ones as they don't have cosplay in the same sense as the bigger shows do.

People don't wanna spend money on certain weaponary/props and the effort of bringing it to a convention only to find they aren't allowed to bring their select prop into the event.

Guessing no one reads this section of the forum anymore. Ah bring back the days when the costume part of the forum was actually busy. We'll I'll be bringing my bow to the convention as it seems to fit in with the rules and regs so hope I aint told to get rid of it as I have tried to ask on here about it and no one has bothered to reply.

I am so sorry, I forgot to follow up on that. None of the mods are really familiar with cosplay and weapons rules, so I had forwarded your question. I have just sent a reminder. But you are right, it seems most of the cosplayer action is on in the event forums nowadays.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this.

We're in the process of restructuring the cosplay team and the weapons rules in advance of LFCC. We should be able to confirm the exact rules within the next couple of days. We will get this up for you asap so that you can prep for the event.

That would have been okay but eh Collectormania has kinda been and gone. I went with my bow anyway. No one stopped me, no one asked to check it so meh whatever. Also LFACC isn't the only convention where people want to know weapons rules. There may not be things organised for Collectormanias but it might still be useful to have the rules tagged at the top of ALL convention sections!

Thank you for that suggestion, we will pass that on to the Showmasters staff who decide which topics get tagged in the event forums.

Once the weapons rule is confirmed it will be across all events, so will only need to be posted here.

Thank you Too Tall. Also keeping the rules updated is good too as there's lots of new movies coming out with weaponary that may not be clear whether or not they are okay under the rules written.
