We are pleased to announce our latest sports guest for Collectormania

JAKE LA MOTTA

Giacobbe "Jake" LaMotta, nicknamed "The Bronx Bull" and "The Raging Bull", was an American professional boxer and former World Middleweight Champion. He was portrayed by Robert De Niro in the 1980 film Raging Bull.

England's World Middleweight Champion Terry Downes, who also defeated the great Sugar Ray Robinson on two occasions is a possibility? The two men would go great together!!!

Or Carmen Basilio or Gene Fullmer, both from the same era!!

:-) Thought it was worth an ask, SM probably knew about LaMotta being over anyway!! Just pleased he's coming! We have to make the most of great men like him and a few others mentioned abover for being in good health to do such events.

Depends what your idea of 'better' is .. you could say ALL guests would be better at LFCC or EMS depending on how you're looking at it?

Plus they have to work with who's available when, and MK tends to have more sports guests than the other events do.

I would think that would be okay. Sporting items cost more than an ordinary 10"x8" image though - £35 instead of £25, in this case.

Jake La Motta confirmed yesterday in the news that his story will be seen again on the screen after Raging Bull 2 was announced.  The sequel is rumoured to be staring William Forsythe covering pre and post career
