John Glen entered the film industry in 1947 working for Sir Alexander Korda at London Films in the editing department. He worked on such films as "The Third Man", "The Italian Job", "Murphy's War" and "The Wild Geese" both as an editor and action director.
Having worked as an editor and action director on the James Bond films "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", "The Spy Who Loved Me" where he was responsible for directing the famous ski/parachute pre-title sequence and "Moonraker" he was asked by Cubby Broccoli to direct Roger Moore in "For Your Eyes Only" and went on to direct four more Bond movies "Octopussy", "A View to a Kill", "The Living Daylights" and "Licence to Kill".
