Aw cunningham, thank you so much, really lovely of you to offer, you've been such a huge help :) The ad does say that the vouchers will be printed in the 2pm copy, if it is in the earlier one I'm sure me and my friend could find a couple of copies. If not it's not a problem, I'm not overly fussed about seeing the film early, it's all about the autographs   well I'm hoping I'll get at least one anyway lol    


Hm okay just reading on FB and some people seem pretty certain that they only print one copy a day...

No problem.

I'll still go and grab a handful of the early morning edition on Wednesday and then post on here one way or the other if the voucher is in it. If not I may be able to get the 2pm one as well (depending on what time they and if they get delivered to my local station. It's whether or not we can sort out how to link up to get people the vouchers. You would all have left by then so arranging where and when to meet is more tricky.

Jemma, not that I'm aware of. I rarely use the trains so don't read the paper. As I said I can grab copies of the early morning copies and see if the voucher is in there. If it isn't then I guess that there is a second later edition.

I can't understand why they would do an 2pm edition. To get it to the printers and distributed for 2pm it would need to be at the printers at about 10am. How much news can there be between daybreak and 10am?
There may be a second paper for the evening rush hour, but i would imagine it wouldn't hit the stations until about 4pm not as early as 2pm.

What some people might be doing is assuming because it says about the tickets from 2pm with the voucher so are just assuming the voucher is in the second edition when it isn't.
Either way we'll find out on Wednesday won't we.

Hello! Its seems there are a few of you that will be heading down to the Hunger Games premiere on Wednesday. We here at Massive Events could use your help!

We are looking for some volunteers to hand out some fliers for our Hunger Games convention 'The Games' As you all know its word of mouth that builds excitment and what better place to discuss The Hunger Games than at the Premiere!

If you think you can help us spread the word please drop us an email at info@showmastersonline.com with your address and telephone number. Its going to be tight, but we intend to get fliers out by special delivery by the end of the day. They should arrive with you tomorrow.

I would but I'm leaving at 10am and mail tends not to reach mine till about 12pm. I'll definitely mention it to people. I was pimping ET8 yesterday to some of the people who posted about the HMV thing they did yesterday.

I only saw the request for help this morning so it's probably too late, but have volunteered my services if they can get the flyers to me. :)

I've also just posted on the IMDB forums for the film about The Games so hopefully that will get some interest too.

Slow reaction so far on the IMDB forum. One was interested but is in the states so is doubtful. The latest one was "OMG where is it gonna be? I'll definitely be there." Hopefully he/she will keep to that and we have at least one more ticket sold.

I've just got back from my local station with 15 copies of the Metro. There is no voucher as such, just a whole page advert about the Premiere on page 31.

At the top it says see the stars arrive from 5pm.

At the bottom it says the following.

Bring this Metro Ad to get VIP Pen access and the chance to attend the premiere

Wristbands will be distributed on the day at the O2 Greenwich. Wristbands will be issued on a first come basis to the first 250 people who present this advert from 12 noon (so NOT 2pm as previously mentioned). Wristbands will entitle the wearers access to the VIP pen and to a seat to watch the film at the premiere. Only one wristband and seat per person. Wristbands are non transferable and you must be present to recieve your individual wristbands.

Note

Winners will be positioned in the pen from 1pm [u]to watch the stars walk the red carpet.

Wristbands must be worn at all times until the event is over and must not be tampered with.

For the people that can't go the premiere is being shown live  on yahoo at www.yahoo.co.uk/movies

Unless you are going to be at the O2 by about 11am and then have luck on your side the chances of you getting a wristband are very slim I would imagine. Sod standing or sitting about in the pen from about 1pm.

I can be hanging about from 11am with the copies to give you girls and guys (if there are some in your group) if you want to have a crack at trying to get one. However in reality unless you are leaving really early from Blackpool I don't think you stand much chance of geting one sorry!  

I'll check back at 9am, 10am and 10.30 to see if you've replied and if you want me to head down there to give you a copy of the paper.

According to someone posting on the premiere's FB page there is room for about 1000 people and already by 8.30am there are about 300 people there.

As most of them would have good access to getting a Metro the chances of getting a ticket have dropped further!

Hey just wanted to drop in to thank everyone, especially cunningham for all the help and advice. Me and my friend had such a fab time (despite the cold!), got there for about 8:30am and were 234th, and 245th in line! So we got our VIP wristbands   saw the film which was amazing (the cast introduced the film) and I also got Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson's and Elizabeth Banks' autographs! Not bad   so yes, thank you for all the help guys, I probably would have chickened out and not gone if I hadn't of been on here. Hope everyone else had a great time!

I actually was there Tuesday night Cunningham. Well in London anyway. We got there about 8am with out metros and I was number 210 which was pretty awesome.

I'm glad you both got there ok and even better both got tickets to see the film.

I was waiting on standby about a mile away in case Tahlie (probably spelt wrong sorry) called my mobile and said she needed help giving out flyers for The Games.

I watched the Premiere on Yahoo. That entrance really looks horrible on TV. It looks like an industrial estate especially with those two big turbine things.
If they are doing more premieres there they really need to make it look more attractive.

I would have looked out for you all but didn't know what any of you look like. I probably still won't even after the Con in June.  

What time did you get your wristbands? I've read elsewhere that they were being issued at 9am and not at noon like they were supposed to be.
Also people were unhappy with the staffing/security there.

Yeah the entrance was awful looking. We got there about 8 I think and they gave bands out not long after for the premiere itself but we didn't get the one for the film till about 1pm or something

I was at the Premiere in Paris and the cast was just wonderful! and the movie too!!!!!!
JOSH is just adorable!!!! =)
