Hey everyone. I just rang the Park Inn to confirm that the rooms for Bitten 3 would be released tomorrow, I got told this is misinformed and the rooms will be released next Friday, the 19th of January.

There will be a 25% deposit taken but you can pay in full if you so wish. One of the Park Inn staff members actually asked me if I could pass this on so im hoping this solves any confusion since I rang the night before and got told I could book this Friday, but it's next week now.

I also just rang Showmasters to let them know what I just got told so hopefully we will have confirmation on it all  ! Im just really persistent and want to book the hotel haha.

Of course in theory the Park Inn should be contacting those of us who left their details at Bitten 2 about booking before they book any other rooms.  that's what we were promised when we were there as I voiced concerned about the limited number of rooms... however I am not counting on that happening!

I got told that people who had booked online at standard rate or put their names down on a list would be contacted and told to book/rebook but im only going to go off what im told by staff members.

So hopefully next Friday I can just pay for my room in full. Since none of us even know the convention rate yet.

I just rang up Park Inn and they said they haven't received the paper work to confirm the rate yet, so they said they requested it and we should be able to book at the end of the month/beginning of february .. So, not really sure what's going on.

Just to add, they have also confirmed to us that once the 25% deposit is paid, the balance can be paid on arrival at the hotel in August (might make things easier for some) :)

Be careful about that "balance being paid on arrival" thing.  I was assured of that for one of the Park Inn cons but a few weeks later they took the full amount anyway - good thing I saw the withdrawal in time!  You might as well be prepared to pay in full.

As per Queen Vee's earlier post, I'm going to wait until next Friday (20th) before ringing the Park Inn.  Here's hoping it'll all be sorted by then!

For an update on this, two other attendees rang the Park Inn recently. One got told Friday the 20th is the earliest the rooms will be released and another got told they won't know until February at the earliest. The staff clearly haven't been briefed on one answer to give.

Just to say I had an email from the Park Inn today and was able to phone and sort out my room.  Yay!  one less thing to worry about.

I got my email too (as I was on the waiting list) so called them just now.  

All paid up and ready to go!

I would have thought it's worth calling them to check.  If they are taking bookings then I would assume it's open to all?
