frenchwhedonist
At Hallowhedon 3, Amber Benson said she was very sweet and that she really loved her. So I was wondering if Iyari did conventions ? She would be a very interesting guest (especially if Seth Green came as well ) and she seems very nice. As she does not seem to do cons very often (at least, in Europe), it would be nice to have the opportunity to meet someone quite rare. I'm not the biggest Kennedy fan but I like her and I'm sure she has great stories to tell :)

Charmer
Yeah, she is really lovely! She attended the first ever con I went to, I think it was Collectormania 4 or around then. I'm a (rare, lol) fan of Kennedy's so was very happy to meet her. Edited December 5, 2011 by Charmer

Is it as simple as the fact that she wasn't Tara, or was it something else?

Also, I think I've heard people say she was too forward and just assumed Willow would feel the same way etc. Some people don't think she's the type of person Willow would fall for either. Each to their own though.

She just didn't seem like an organic fit for Willow, which is just lazy writing on the writers part. To be honest most of season 7 suffers from lazy writing. Tara is my favourite character so I obviously didn't like Kennedy because she was replacing her on the show and in Willow's heart, it really upset me. They wanted her to be a Faith n°2 and she sometimes was too cliché. However, I was very surprised when I watched the show again recently because I liked her a bit more. Maybe I got over Tara's death, I don't know. To be honest, it's the relationship between her and Willow that I don't like. Kennedy's okay, and Iyari seems adorable. But yeah, Kennedy was never really appreciated, and neither were Dawn and Riley, which upsets me even more because I love them both.

She just didn't seem like an organic fit for Willow, which is just lazy writing on the writers part. To be honest most of season 7 suffers from lazy writing. Agree. It also seemed a bit soon after Tara's death. At first I accepted it as a kind of temporary rebound thing, but then they seemed to be staying together. Eh, so long as they were happy... On the whole, I didn't mind Kennedy too much, although the moment I really disliked her was at the end of Get It Done, I think it was, where Kennedy shut Willow out of their bedroom after Willow used her and Anya to augment the spell involving Buffy and the First Slayer. The cheeky mare! I completely understand her being upset, but if one don't want to sleep with one's girlfriend after an event like that, one does not kick her out of her own bloody room (well, technically, it belongs to Buffy along with the rest of the house, I suppose, but you know what I mean), one goes and sleeps somewhere else. (I was even more enraged when Buffy was effectively booted out of her own house in Empty Places, but that's another story.) Anyway, before I start frothing at the mouth, I have nothing against Iyari personally and am sure she'd be great.

In Empty Places when Rhona says Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead i wanted to jump into my tv and beat her with a stick urgg that annoys me soo soo much and i know that has nothing to do with Iyari but still haha, Iyari would be a great guest though =] Edited December 10, 2011 by bp_buffy1990
