PaulWeston
This may seem like I'm complaining but I'm just protective of Autographica and the history I have with it. Now I'm all for a new event, The Entertainment Media Show, bringing lots of stars and big and new ones too. But it seems to have taken all the stars that would normally attend Autographica. What's the story with Entertainment Media show upstaging Autographica?
Count Fooku
Just out of interest which guests did you have in mind? The only one who jumps out at me as being more suited to Autographica is Diana Rigg and they may have just come down to her availability. Nothing wrong with being protective of Autographica, it's a damn fine show!
adriangill
Off the top of my head there is only a couple of guests at EMS that I would consider to be a potential guest for Autographica. So I'm slightly confused by your 'all' comment. That aside, it would depend if the guest is available. It would be silly to say no just because they are available for EMS and not Autographica. Diana RiggThat is who I thought of, and Kate O'Mara.
Donkey
The other show does seem to have stolen our thunder a little. I'm slightly confused also by Ms Blackman seemingly being our headline guest (see website), isn't she a fairly common at such events these days. dufresne
Why do people keep insisting that events have headliners ? The website is just pushing HB as a new announcement, the way it did with Buzz previously and someone else ( damn my memory) before that again. What we feel is a headline guest may appear to someone else as a mere supporting cast. Many people are not interested in the astronauts and by the same token space fans will walk right past Honor. It's personal taste here and getting the balance right can be very difficult for us. You have some very unusual names this year and i think a good balance. Don't forget though we are still flat out and i do mean flat out working on the line up. I totally understand Paul's comments and Donkey's too. After 12 years running this event i too am protective of it but sometimes guests just are not available. Anyway back to the gindstone and search for the rabbit's in the hat.
