Goodie586
Jason and all Showmasters..... I have been pondering a statement that you made before in relation to Scottish guests and how it did not work. James Cosmo was the example given and i am distraught!!! I saw him last year...i wanted to talk to him, but alas i am so poor at talking to guests....photo shoots are easy...face to face...so much harder. I am ashamed that i did not approach James...he is a hero of mine...Highlander, Braveheart, Troy and Game of Thrones!!! He was a top guest and my fear made it appear that he was not. Is it just me or do others become tongue tied with guests we admire???? PS James Cosmo....you are a star..and i bet you have great stories to tell. Tanith
My first reaction with that example given about how Scottish guests don't work was: "Who's He?" Personally think that Scottish guests would work but ones more well known in the modern day (such as Scottish actors in recent or ongoing TV series). But yea I'm exactly the same with talking with guests.
alisonloub
I was just browsing and saw this thread, you are not the only one who has trouble talking to the guests! infact me and the hubby said when we were at CM: MK we MUST make an effort to speak to each of them that we meet but the same thing still happend with Levar Burton, was just totally struck down with the inabilty to string 2 words together, it was a little awkward to say the least! enrohm1963
I too was browsing and was a little taken aback re the lack of knowledge of who James Cosmo is (not sure if you were kidding or not - so in the event not I have provided an excerpt from James' Wikipedia listing to clarify further). I met James in Glasgow and have to say he was brilliant. He gave a really interesting talk and was a pleasure to talk to. Please can he be brought back again ? James Cosmo James Cosmo (born 24 May 1948) is a prolific Scottish actor, with numerous credits in film and television since the late 1960s and Cosmo is still currently acting.
