Sorry if this doesn't really belong here but I do have a few questions.:D

~ For the registration desk it says you need photo ID. What is the most acceptable things to bring as my partner
doesn't own a passport or driving license, just a citizen card.

~ What is the policy on cameras ? I know you cant snap candids of the guests at parties. Can I bring a camera to the event to obviously photograph my partner and I in outfits etc. Can the intro session/talks be photographed for some personal shots ?

~ I have been browsing a lot of previous events to get a feel for them all & peoples photoshoot pics.
Ive seen a lot of cute poses etc. If you just want to have a photo say with your arms around the guest
do you have to plan that beforehand ?

~Im actually staying at the Park Inn, do the guests stay at the hotel as well ? ( Just because im curious !)

Thankyou, I know these are probably stupid questions    :D

As far as I know any form of recognised photographic ID will be fine.

Cameras are allowed in the talks (no videoing at all). Flash photography is allowed for the first minute or so of each individual talk then it is restricted to non-flash photography. You can take photos at the parties but in the interests of the guests comfort it is requested not to take any of them. They can relax then and enjoy it just as much as everybody else. No cameras are allowed in the autograph singing areas either.

The location of the where the guests stay is not something that will be revealed for obvious reasons

They are not. If you don't ask then you don't find out

I think for logistical reasons, most if not all of them stay in the Park Inn. No following guests back to their rooms!

Does anyone know if its just me (the ticket booker) who needs photographic ID ? As my partner only has a citizen card which is used as proof of age.

As 1of2 says, any form of photographic ID is fine for when you collect your tickets from the convention registration desk, so that should be fine for them.

Anybody who has purchased a ticket will need their ID to prove it is them when they collect their pass and attendee pack for the weekend.  As they have to make sure they give the pass to the right person.

If they dont have a ticket to the convention, they would need to purchase one to be able to accompany you around the con eg go into the autograph room/dealers room/photos/parties etc

I hope I answered your question, if not, can you clarify a little and I will be glad to help :D

I used a bank card last time, and they were fine with that even tho it didnt have photographic id. I wouldnt worry. as long as it has your name on you will get your registration pack.
