There were A4 sized wall signs put up on Friday night. Perhaps they were moved?

I know the Olympia Italian Jobsworth guy had a go at me for putting a sign up on a wall and told me to take them down.

I have no doubt he was on a mission and a potential cause of missing informational posters.

I hope this can be clarified for next year!
This wouldn't have been such a problem if we've had the map online beforehand, but as we didn't, I expected much more directions within the venue :S
LFCC 2009 - CM:L - CM:MK 16 - LFCC 2010 - ET 4 - CM:L 2 - Chevron 7.6 - LFCC 2011 - CM:L 3 - HW 3 - ET 7 - Chevron 7.8 - CM:MK 18 - LFCC 12 - CM:G 2012

Lucky enough to have met most of SG1's main cast (Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, Ben Browder, Joe Flanigan and Teryl Rothery)!

If Rick gets to come back to an event, and/or if Viggo Mortensen gets to attend one some day, I'll be the HAPPIEST girl on Earth!!

regarding the lighting, yep there were lights not on in the talk areas, were they broken? did SM not know where they were turned on from? or did they choose to try and make it more theatre like? who knows,

the heating, well it was on full blast all weekend, this with the amount of ppl I thought made it far to warm, yes im a big guy but I was rosy cheeked all weekend and although I was feeling iffy before, I now have a cold, full blast heating can have the same effect as constant freezing weather in some respects, it is a venue issue but SM would need to direct them to alter it unless SM had direct control?
was far to warm, and I wore a long sleeved tshirt sat and a short sleeved t shirt sunday, my layers were in my bag.

was far to warm in most of the hall, and a bit chilly in the sports bit entrance which didnt help having such a contrast we had to move between all weekend. I think have the heating on in the morning but by lunch time the heating should of been turned off or down, it was to warm. you can see this contrast in my 66 boys pics.

so yer heating and lighting attention for next year would be nice or im coming in a muscle top ;-)
I would like to meet the tart who just complained about me! if its you, come say hi! p.s I paid £180 entry to LFCC 2011, is that free?

It's all personal preference though, I personally thought the temperature was fine, and I was wearing a t-shirt and a shirt both days, and i'm not the kind of person who feels cold, I tend to feel hot more than cold.

I'm sure they were in control of the heating, at no time did i think 'wow the heating in here is out of control'. Having been in a venue where the temperature really is out of their control(the stadium) and loathing it, I much prefer being in the heat to being freezing

Most wanted guests:

Mr. T - Matt Smith - Ian McDiarmid - Ian Holm - Sean Bean - Peter Cullen - Frank Welker - David McCallum - Joanna Lumley - Christopher Lee - Ian McKellen - Jodelle Ferland(for a SIGNING event)

R.I.P Nicholas Courtney - The kindest man I ever had the pleasure to meet

Definitely a personal preference. Turn it down and you'll get people complaining it's too cold, so what do you do?

I think the sensible thing to do when it's that cold outside etc is to have the venue warm rather than cold. It did actually get fairly chilly once it was a little emptier.

With regard the heating... all very well to say 'use the cloakroom' / 'take off layers' - but for those in full costume (especially full masks), it was VERY hot.

Isn't it always hot in full masks etc though?

Plus you don't really have a reason to complain that it was too hot if you were in full costume!

Heat wasn't really a hassle in costume, yes it was hot, but it's always hot when you wear one.

We were stationed right by the restaurant which was pumping out heat like no one's business, so we just took regular breaks outside in the cold to drum up business and to appreciate the warmth a bit more :)

I also picked up a cold it seems but I think that was queuing outside at 8am that did that. I wouldn't have had I known it was an outdoor queue. Also don't forget there was the other event downstairs - and heat rises, could hardly tell them to turn it down.

I also have a cold but, for me, that's not unusual after attending an event. With the number of people you come into contact with at on such occasions, you're almost certain to pick up something. For me, it just part of the experience. Admittedly it's a part I could do without, but it is a part of it nonetheless.

I didnt do the queue this time, I waltzed in at 9.30 straight off the train baby lol

down stairs was dead lol and the heating was deff coming out of the air con on level 1, when I walked in I got round to the main stage and suddenly thought why am I sweating and so hot and realized i hadnt taken my jacket off yet (it was a normal jacket also not a winter one) also realized I was standing under one of the aircon units. day 2 I stripped off by the orgs booth as soon as I got in

but alas I guess those who hated the stadium were ok at this one ;-) lol

I think if it's not ready by that point they'd be best just moving the event to London. With it being(I would assume) easier to get guests for London, and a good venue(or 2) there, I'd much rather see it held there than MK.

Used to love going to MK when it was in the mall, but since it moved i've hated those events

To be fair though SM have been very unlucky with the two stadium events, the first one we had a week of great weather followed by a grotty weekend, and the second one we had a grotty weekend followed by a week of great weather.

It was shorts weather on the Sunday, I went for a long walk. Outside the stadium was fine. Just inside was the complete opposite.

I've not seen anything online to see the venue situation will change anytime soon. They've played some of the sports at the shopping centre!

That's my point though, they may not know what the weathers gonna be like, but who really wants a venue where we have to rely on good weather for a good event. With our weather?
