Someone posted on here reacently about the free busses and what times and numbers they were to the hotel (or nearby). I can't seem to find that post now. Could someone put up the info again if it's not too much to ask? Or perhaps a link to the origional post? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Shane look here - http://www.londontoo...l_hoppa_bus.htm but be sure to scroll down to the 'FREE BUSES' part at the bottom of the page and save yourself 8 quid (that's nearly a lecture!)

I can't imagine the bus taking more than 10/15 mins to get to the hotel.....

The 75 or 76 from central bus station takes about 10 minutes max.

Get off at the stop which is just past the garage/mcdonalds. There's a wee lane just before the bus stop, walk down that and then you'll see the thistle in front of you.

Thanks for that! I have been to the Thistle a number of times before but have always got the Hopper buses which cost money  :P

I think the idea is that any of the local buses within the heathrow area are free. These aren't laid on by the hotels or anything so it would be a case of getting on at the local bus stop nearest the hotel

There is the U3 also, but that requires getting off just slightly BEFORE the mcdonalds/garage.

Not sure if they run 24/7 though..depends if they put a night bus on each route.
