I thought I would put this up and let our community be able to have a place for all our chatting need. This way we can try and keep everything in one topic rather than having lots of random generic ones that take up so much space.

So whether you want to talk about your fav movies and TV shows, to whats new in your collection heres the place to do it. Lets get to know one another better :D

So lets get it started!

So how are you going to kill time until the next CMG?

I've got Warp 10, CM London, CM Milton Keynes and LFCC to look forward to before CM Glasgow. There may be a few more added in there if I get can get my tight-assed bosses to let me book the time off!

Will also be continuing my search for a new job.

Other than that, just generally enjoying life helped along by the occasional single malt. :D

Busy busy I see. Well I aim to be at all CM over the next year and a few ME on the way to. I know what its like to not be able to get time off for events, in fact I left my old job last year as two days before CMG as they turned around and said I could not get off. I missed to many event that year due to work, so at my new job its written in my contract i get the time off when needed. Best move I ever did (funny thing is my old work still use me alot and it costs them a bomb each time lol)

So good luck on the search and enjoy your Single malt am sure you will see me at most events

Problem is that some of the events I want to go to are on bank holiday weekends and, when it comes to booking leave around bank holidays, the managers where I work give priority to people with children. Apparently they have a greater need than me. Bloody cheek. What need could be greater than an SM or ME event? They have no idea.

I like that your former bosses now have to pay a fortune to use you. Maybe I could leave my job to go freelance and then charge them a fortune to use me ..........

And I always enjoy my single malt as anyone who's been out drinking with me will tell you.

You'll definitely see me at CMG. I'm hoping to be crewing again and it's my birthday on the Sunday so I'll probably be wearing a big Birthday Girl badge or something similar.

Hi

Was thinking of starting a new thread for this, but I'll add it in here.

I'm really saddened today by the news that Gerard Kelly has passed away. I know he never attended an event, but he was in my eyes a legend and one of Glasgows biggest stars. He was only 51 and passed away last night.

I've seen him numerous times in panto and loved his work in city lights, eastenders, brookside, extras, etc.

It would be great if SM were to consider booking Scottish stars who maybe aren't in big movies or TV series as folk like Gerard Kelly, Tony Roper, Ford Kiernan, etc would sell autographs at these events and draw even more attendees (albeit local to the venue) but I understand where the events are coming from.

We try and meet as many TV, film, movie stars, etc as possible either at SM events or not and Gerard was near the top of the list as we were going to try and meet him this Xmas when he was in a local Panto. It won't be the same without him.

I miss him loads already

Steve
