There is a strong possibility of a 10th series of Red Dwarf. Still a few things to be ironed out (don't have any details) but they hope to start shooting early next year.

I was there on Saturday and they did mention filming for a new series of Red Dwarf next year. As this was the most popular talk of the day it was hard to hear what was being said as the speakers were quite low down the seating area and I was quite far up the back lol.

Hopefully someone nearer the front will be able to say more.

Yeah, that's pretty much spot on. Nothing's set in stone as yet, but latest is that if everything goes to plan they should start shooting a 6 episode series in early 2011...  :D

I just hope the writers and producers don't try to go all "politically correct". That would take all the fun out of it.

They class 'Back to Earth' as season 9.

Hi,

I am pleased to confirm for those that are interested that it was confirmed by the RD writer and producer that a new series of RD will be filmed towards the end of the year and is scheduled to be shown on Dave tv. The announcement was made at this years RD convention as Craig let the news slip on Twitter, naughty fellow lol.
