Convention parties - Themed?

Have seen on some of the other events they seem to set a theme for the evenings.

 

Was wondering if the meet and greet/cocktail parties etc were themed?

The three evening parties are themed, as soon as the themes are announced, lots of people tend to plan their outfits. No doubt people will start a thread on here too chatting about that

 

Not sure about the cocktail party, whether that is referring to the Gold pass reception from other events they have run. All gold pass holders are divided into groups, you get a glass of wine/fruit juice and the guests are brought round one at a time to your group so that you can chat in a relaxed atmosphere. It is not generally themed, just chilled

I'm pretty sure Cocktail Party means Gold Pass Drinks Reception.

 

The same event has different names at different shows. I keep calling the reception cocktail party myself on occassion.

as for the gold pass drinks reception any one know if ther is a dress code for it I.E. Smart casual?

No, no dress code.

 

Some attendees really make an effort, I've seen some gorgeous dresses. But there's just as many going in jeans and t-shirt. *points to self*
