pink lady Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I seem to remember seeing something on here a while ago about a Premier Inn that is really close to the venue. Can't find it now though so I think it may have got deleted. Anyway, I want to get a hotel booked and was thinking about Premier Inn but when I looked on their website, I couldn't see which one would be closest. Can anyone help? Cheers. Blairy Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) I think the one you're looking for is the one at Glasgow Airport - however I can't seem to bring it up on google maps. Your best bet would be to stay at a hotel at the Airport. It's only 2 miles away from braehead, so you could get a quick taxi (or even a hotel shuttle). I stay there every year, it's cheap and cheerful and so very convenient. The party used to be at the Braehead arena bar but I don't think it'll be there this year... Can't find it now though so I think it may have got deleted. Try to extend the timeframe of posts showing, I think the default is 30 or 60 days. So the post you are looking for may have fallen out of that frame. I'm not sure if it was a Premier Inn, but I remember there was one hotel bought by a chain and then closed. People were leaving dirty nappies outside rooms, stinking the entire place, and even though we informed the folk nobody did anything. There was never any toilet roll anywhere. The rest of the time was spent at the con/party. There won't be one this year by the looks of it. There's a party possibly in the pipeline but not organised by Showmasters officially......
