Very happy about this, great guest.

Jaws was a very big deal to me as a kid in the 70s. My mum worked at the ABC cinema in Leicester and the opening of Jaws is still such a big memory - biggest queues I'd seen, and when one showing sold out people would just wait the 2 hours or so for the next one (in those pre-multiplex times).

Never met any guest from the film so this is brilliant - and I agree about getting more guests from Jaws. I'd definitely like the chance to build up a multi signed item and I think a few more fans would do the same.

Lorraine Gary, Carl Gottlieb, Jeffrey Kramer, Jay Mello would all be good Jaws guests too.

Thanks SM CLAP.GIF

Excellent suggestion. Those 2 posters would be in my top 10 or even top 5 of all time, love them both.

Who better to get on a multi signed poster than the artist himself!!!

Artists of the more famous posters would be a very welcome addition to future shows.

Those images can become a big part of our memories of when we first saw a classic film.

I didn't realise he did both, is TESB one he did the grey one or the darker one with Han and Leia kissing on?

And in a half hearted attempt to keep this on topic, more Jaws guests please.

I think that's a great idea. I usually get one sheets signed at cons...although having said that; it's only really the artists of classic well-known posters that would really draw any kind of crowd. Plus they dont make posters like they used to anymore - these days posters are computer enhanced photos. The best posters were in the 70s and 80s and hand-drawn.

Still, it's a much more realistic suggestion than composers anyway. blush.gif

Oh yeah, cool guest. THUMBUP.GIF

Totally agree. The 70s and 80s had the best ones. As I mentioned above in this thread my mum was working at ABC cinema Leicester from early 70s to when it shut in the 90s, so my childhood memories of the 70s and 80s are full of those images, not just because of loving the films but on a personal level too (and getting to keep some of the posters to fill my bedroom wall with biggrin.gif ). The best designs really mean something to anyone who loves those films. And like you, I much prefer film related guests to the TV ones.

I'd really like the chance to meet the real artists who created such iconic and long lasting designs.
At the time I don't think I thought of the artists behind them, but over the years really grew to appreciate them as artists.
Lets hope we get a few of them as future guests so we can both get their autogs on our posters.
Afterall, lots of film fans have seen their work more times than the more famous artists.
