It's a great tradition in some of the other areas of the forum, so i think we should start one here. If anyone has anything to say, about any subject, post it here, and we can ramble and ramble to our hearts content :D

I cant even think of anything to talk about, what about a stargate topic to start with... What was your best memory of a past chevron events?

The one that comes to my mind is Michael Shanks And Christopher Judges talk at Chevron 7

Hmm... best memory... does personal stuff count?

If yes I'll say meeting Peter Williams again at Chevron 7.2. We "go back" as he puts it.

Last time I actually saw him was in 2006, when the Football World Cup was in Germany. Peter is a huge Football fan, he especially loves the Brazilian team. I managed to score tickets for some games, including one of Brazil. I told him I had tickets, and promised him if he'd make it over I'd take him to the games.

Then at Chevron he saw me at the drinks reception when he came up to our group, hugged me and told me: "I've been thinking of you during the whole World Cup."

That was just so... touching. I don't know how to phrase it differently.

If only non-personal stuff counts, the Valentine question at 7.2 when Jason Momoa grabbed Joe Flanigan's thigh... the expression on Joe's face was priceless.

haha thats awesome!

Consistently bumping into Peter Williams wherever i went during 7.2. Coffee shops, restaurants, the toilets - it was very strange haha and i nearly burnt his face with hot coffee :S

As for during talks - when Ryan Robbins told us about his gold cart story,. then in the next talk Brian J Smith said his dream car was a golf cart - Ryans face was absolutely brilliant

  • 1 month later...

I have to say my best and worst moment was bursting in to tears  in front of Brian J Smith, in one of his talks he said some really nice things about the men and women fighting this war and later that day I gave him my Help for Heros band, and while trying to tell him that I have many members of my family over there, butst in to tears :YAHOO: , he and Jason ( who was with him at the time) were very understanding. Later that night i learnt from Ryan that he had gone back to all the other actors and said how touch he was that I had given it to him

Chevron 7.5 will be my first Showmasters event, ever, so I cannot really share any specific memories like you all had.

I can only hope that this event will contain just as much priceless moments... Oh, wait, what am I saying: I'm *sure* it will =DD

Hx.

Hi all!

I'm so new to all this - I only just learned of the existence of this con. Sincerely hoping it's not too late to book tickets and accomodation. I'm guessing the Park Inn will be fully booked by now, so does anyone have any good tips for somewhere to stay that is in walking distance?

Thanks :)

I think proceedings start about 7ish? Cos it's just the opening ceremony on Friday and the drinks reception for Gold ticket holders. This is my first con of this kind so I could be wrong, but that's what I gather from the info on the website...

I'm guessing/hoping you mean 7pm rather than am... That would be ideal - does anyone know for sure?

Hi - It's definitely after 6pm - exact time would be advised on the schedule of events which they normally post a week or so before the weekend.
