I've never been to anything like this before.  I'm so excited I feel like a teenager again, no mean feat as I'm in my 40's!!!  I have no idea what to expect.  The nearest I have ever come to a convention before is watching Trekkies on the TV!!

I can only go for the Saturday so I'm leaving at 6am to get there for around 9am.  My lovely horses are going to wonder what on earth is going on when I visit them at 4.30am to let them out of their stable's into the fields so early.

I'm going to ask VERY nicely if I can get in all my signings and a couple of photo shoots, if at all possible on the one day, pretty pretty PLEAAASSSEEEEEEEE.  I hope to make the whole of ET4 though!

I have been to the NEC - is the hotel the building next door? Where do I park?

Is there catering or is it best to take something?

Oh I'm in Group 23

The hotel has a pay&display car park. It's on the same road as the NEC.
There is food available, but obviously you have to pay. At Chevron 7.4 MassiveEvents organised a discount on food if you show your con badge, but i'd also bring snacks with you - especially if you'll get hungry during the talks (like i do).
When you get there speak to TooTall (can't miss him haha) about trying to get everything done in one day, and he'll be able to help you out :)
You'll have a fantastic weekend
Hi all. Hope everyone is grand! I'm Dan, 22 years old, currently studying an MSc in occupational Psychology.
I hope to meet you all soon!

Correct, TooTall will try and help you there.

Just some adivice though because this is your first event: If TooTall gets you through everything in one day on Saturday your badge will be marked invalid for Sunday access. I just thought I mention it because you wrote you hope to make it for the next show. It wouldn't be funny if you made it for Sunday this time after all and you'd find out then that you couldn't go to the talks.

Thank you InYourHonour and Queen_Sindel.

I shall speak to TooTall, I'm told he's not too hard to spot!!!  Thanks for the warning re the ticket as well, sadly no chance of me making it on the Sunday.  I won't be able to walk!  I kid you not.
