Mike,
The total for the stay (2 nights- Fri & Sat) was £152.75.

The normal daily rate is £89 + £10 breakfast.  So that represents a saving of £24.00 / day.

Hope that helps.

Just tried the code in promo and group discount, neither seemed to work.

Looks like the allocation of rooms has run out.

The message that is showing for me is "We are sorry, there is no availability for the promotion code you entered." and that happened frequently for the Twilight con and Roadhouse when there were no longer rooms under the group discount.

Maybe best if you ring up the hotel.

am on the phone at the mo to the reservations desk, 89 quid plus brekkie, or 82 quid plus brekkie for single bedroom.

Yep, discounted block sold out. Have got 82 quid inc brekkie. First option given was the twin at 119. Even on the hotels website, 'singles' aren't given as option. Tries 2 screen scrapers, and they had same prices as well as the single option..

It might be worth giving Dave a quick call to make sure if they really have run out of rooms. I know with the last show the hotel were telling people no rooms were left at the special and it turned out not to be the case.

Admittedly that wasn't as close to the show as this but it might be worth checking.
"You might very well think that, I could not possibly comment"

"Got a rabbit to pull out of your hat Percy? You've got that 'Britain-can-make-it' look about you. Very intimidating."
