Basic plot for those who don't know (stolen from IMDB): In the year 2056 - the not so distant future - an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera. The cast stars Anthony Stewart Head, Alexa Vega, Sarah Brightman and Terrance Zdunich and was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (director of Saw 2, 3, & 4). I wanted to post a thread to see if we could get some of the guests and perhaps a showing of the film at the next con. What do you think? The movie wasn't widely distributed but it's grown into somewhat of a cult, very similar to The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I've been to CG before and I really think a big fan event like this will really liven things up. I know CG's not gonna be for quite a while, but right now I just wanted to see how many people feel about it, if anyone has any thoughts and questions. I introduced the lads to Irn Bru: And Darren got completely chromaggia'd!
