[trick of the tail]

I think there has been some variation in the way the drinks reception has been organised in the past as I know SM are always trying to perfect the experience for its attendees, but I was wondering if there was any chance we could try something different again for the drinks reception for Chevron 7.4?

Personally, I find the receptions a bit hit-and-miss - sometimes people don't get to see all the guests or attendees follow a guest around, blocking others out, or often the groups are too big, and its hard to see/hear if you are at the back. It is also usually in a very small, hot room.

Some suggestions:
* perhaps have the reception around tables?
* organise the Gold Pass people into preordained groups?
* organise the groups in the room before bringing in the guests?
* bigger room or more air-con!!!?
* more SM stewards helping out like they did at Chevron 7.3?

I am not saying there is a perfect solution which will please everyone - just throwing some ideas around... what does everyone else think?

At least it will be a different room because it will be another hotel.

This is my first Gold pass so I'm not sure how it all works.  Hope I get to talk to each of the guests though.

If something should happen, the most important things is to talk to the crew on the spot. Doesn't matter if you got skipped by a guest or if there's someone following a guest around. If you say something right away they can do something. TooTall is usually around at the Gold Pass reception. If there's a problem that the crew can't help you with, go and speak to him.

Normally you just stand in a room, have a drink with your friends and the guests are being lead around and talk to everyone. That's how it has been so far. The exact procedure for this event should be posted at the latest when the schedule is posted.
