crippsy_99
Just a curious question, but are silver passes really worth the extra cost over a standard? I ask as it costs £57 extra, but the only two advantages I can see are photos with every guest and better seating in the hall (effectivly peanalising those who cant afford/dont want to pay the extra for silver). On one hand yes, I can see this could be good value..if you want photos with everyone. But on the other hand, what if your not bothered with photos because you've already met everyone except the SGU cast and have photos already with most if not all of them, but your blind as a bat like I am and wont be able to see much from 10+ rows back? Last ME con I did must have been Eclipse 2, and I had a silver for that but only because I pre-booked at eclipse 1, and to be honest, I wouldnt have chosen to have photoshoots with most of the guests, so on that occasion a silver pass seemed a little excessive as id effectivly paid for photoshoots I wasnt fussed about. As I happen to be off the weekend of this one, and theres a couple of good guests so far, im planning to attend. But I cant decide which ticket to buy. I cant see very far as it is, so dont want to be stuck way at the back where i'll only be able to hear the guests. But then, Ive already met David twice and had 2-3 photoshoots already with him, but I will be wanting a photo with Brian...so at the moment it would be cheaper to buy standard and a seperate photoshoot..but if more SGU guests are announced, the costs will rise.. The decisions! Though writing this out, and re-reading it, I think ive made my own mind up which one to get.. phenix00princess
I personally like the silver passes because of the photo's being included. It's just easier not having a separate ticket for everything. But if you dont want photos with every guest then you might be better off going standard depending on how many, and who you want photos with. As far as seating goes, it depends how many attendees there are. I'm assuming there will be quite a lot for this event so going standard will mean sitting near the back (behind 300 people if gold and silver sell out) but they do have big screens either side of the stage so everyone can see. Hope that helps Edited November 14, 2009 by Phenix
Showmasters Admin Too Tall Posted November 19, 2009 Showmasters Admin Share Posted November 19, 2009 (edited) At the end of the day only you can make the decision but I have to answer this.... (effectivly peanalising those who cant afford/dont want to pay the extra for silver). You pay for what you get.... Planes - First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, Economy. Trains - First Class, Standard Class. Cinema - Deluxe screen, Regular Screens. Theatre - You pay more for seats in the middle and closer to the stage. Concerts - Again you pay more for seats in the middle and closer to the stage. Silver tickets cost more, because you get more. It is not there to penalise though with less money. It is there to give an upgraded experience to those that "chose" to pay for it. Edited November 19, 2009 by Too Tall
