When we do get one, can we have a pinned thread that says things like

"if your tickets do not turn up take your confirmation email and photo ID."
"registration on the Friday is usually 2pm-8pm"
"you don't NEED to be here on Friday to register"
"if ...blah blah blah... talk to one of the crew and they will sort it out"

ect. Saves it being asked over and over again..

We wouldn't need those if people actually read the FAQ/How Things Work post, now would we?

At least, when I asked my question, I was amongst the first when there weren't three gazillion thread like that around

We'll hopefully get one soon, they're probably concentrating on Chevron at the moment. We could always start a 'Ask Your Questions Here' thread so that everyone can ask their questions there rather than make tons of threads.

Also we need the one ask for roomie thread, seriously can't see why you can't all just ask in one thread for a spare bed or to find willing roomie. All you have to do is once you've agreed is to poss take details off to email for privacy/security.

I think if someone was willing to vaguely organise that thread would be helpful too - update the first post with a list of people (with contact details of some sort) who either had a room and needed a roomie or needed both a room and roomie. And people would be taken off once they posted to say they were sorted.

'Cause God knows most people don't seem able to read a whole thread to find this information themselves.

(if it comes down to it, even though I have both a room and roomie, I would be willing to do this)

I strongly agree with the request for pinned threads for room/roommate seekers, as well as frequently asked questions about things like IDs, ticket issues and (which hasn't yet been mentioned) the oft-revisited/questioned refund/transfer issue(s).

I don't believe in demonising or bashing people who ask these questions, but I also don't want to see multiple threads created to address things that have been asked and answered. Pinning one thread for the room/roommate issue and another (possibly closed?) for the other issues encountered would be an excellent way both to minimise annoyance and flaming on the board, and to provide necessary info to those who might be confused.

I do think, though, that a pinned room/roommate seeking thread should be separate from that. (Should I contact Too Tall about that, or is that something that I should just leave as a request here?) Of course, if a new section has been started for Hub 4 and I've missed it, I shall prepare myself for imminent smiting.

Someone can run a roomie thread if they want once there's a section, but I can't make any promises it'll be able to stay in the pinned part.

Sometimes ME just don't want the top part cluttered too much, so things get removed etc.

Yeah, definitely plus I'd love to get a copy of the Girl Number 9 DVD signed with an extra auto ticket after it's released.
