Hey, it's raining at the moment and has given it for next week too.

It's not bitterly cold but not sure what you're used to where you live.

Layers sounds like a good idea.

Well i'm from Mass so it gets pretty cold here. but like 50 and above is not cold i don't need layers for that, but like in the 30s i def need to bring a jacket.

A jumper and light jacket should be fine as its London. Im on the coast up North so have scarf and hats out but I duobt you'll be needing them :)

I zip up sweatshirt work? I def don't have anything that's rainproof tho so should i bring my umbrella?

Yeah that'll be fine.....I've been out all day 'In the North' in just a hoody, so zip up will be alright!

I'd bring an umbrella though, I always have one on me, just incase :D

its England guys. pack your long johns, scarfs, welly boots, gloves, bikini's and sunscreen lol

nah seriously it is turning a little colder now but being as most of the time will be spent in the hotel (unless your a smoker like me lol) i wouldnt worry too much about the weather. a warm coat and a brolly should do fine.

It was the end of british summer time last night so our clocks have gone back an hour. so bit nicer in the mornings now but it starts getting dark (and colder) earlier now.

Exactly want I was going to say, we can go from one extreme to the other in a blink of an eye.

We're normal prepared for whatever this country decides to through at use but were ending the summer now.

It's a changeable time of year. Daytime temperatures could be as high as low 60s (Fahrenheit) / high "teens" (Centigrade) or as low as high 40s Fahrenheit (high single digit Centigrade). Nighttime could see frosts (so about freezing, but not more than a couple of degrees below), but is likely to be above freezing (high 30s/low 40s Fahrenheit, and low single digit Centigrade.

There will probably be some amount of wind, which obviously has a chilling effect - some days it's minimal, other days significant.

Rain. More and more likely as the month wears on. Expect there to be some rain whilst you're here. Probably not torrential, but at least heavy showers or even prolonged "normal" rain.

You might get some bright and pleasant days, but generally once you get past the middle of October, sitting outside becomes markedly less pleasant unless you're dressed for the outdoors; there isn't much warmth from the sun this late in the year. (I sat outside for a very pleasant pub lunch a week and a half ago; I'm not really expecting to do that again (in this country) until about March).

Of course, as others have said, this may well not be much of a consideration once you're in the hotel.

Ok so it's like Massachusetts weather. could be anything. I think i know what to bring. I'm def bring the umbrella for sure and def an extra sweater just in case. I know inside the hotel it's no worries but i'm going site seeing for the first few days since i'm coming in early so i wanted to know more for that. i shall plan accordingly :)

Just wondering for those of you who've been to the Thistle before, does it get hot in the talks and autograph sessions?

Not sure whether it'll be cold cos it's apparantly a badly heated hotel, or hot cost there'll be 600 people in one room! So don't know whether to plan jumpers/tshirts for inside during the day?

Hi

Personally i will be taking tee and hoodies for the day, and if get hot in hall easy to take off.

In the eve the weather can go real cold but u wont want to be in a hoodie if u have a fancy dress outfit.

My hotel experiences in the Thistle have been extreme hot to cold, so I always take a hoodie that i can put on in bed as i do feel the cold quickly.

Today i took a coat out as it appeared cold at 10.30am, but by lunchtime i was hot and carried it, so who knows what it will be like in less than a week!!

As for rain, if i get wet im not bothered i will only be walking to pub to eat, and i dont smoke so dont have to worry about getting wet in eve so will stay inside.

So pack for both weathers

I arrived in London from Spain on Saturday and IMHO it's bloody freezing, admittedly we were out latish but I found it so cold it hurt! It is a good excuse to shop though!

PMSL.

If u live in Spain i guess it be freezing to u.

To us UKers then it prob warm at the mo, i used my winter coat 2 x now and once had to take off as hot.

I reckon tho that die to the fact alot of us be in fancy dress and prob not in warm outfits, ie uncovered skin :D that it prob be freezing lol but that what going into the main hall at night is all about danceing/jumping around get warm then if u need to go back outside to cool.
