Kymley Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 So I started to rewatch Angel for this event along side Buffy but it takes me ages to watch the last season. Not because of lack of time or anything but the fact they killed Fred, what really annoyed me is they killed her after just getting with Wesley. I'd been routing for Fred and Wesley since see came to the series. This really put me of the season but glad they kept Amy. What does everyone think? You wouldn't care so much if he hadn't made you love those characters so damn hard in the first place. crazyminx Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 Argh I can't watch Hole in the World and Shells without crying my eyes out the whole way through, it's exhausting. It was devastating that they killed Fred off, Illyria does rock but I wish Fred and Wes had had a bit more time together (they got, like, ten minutes of episode time before she started dying!). I wish they'd made a season 6 on TV, with Wes still alive, as I'd have liked to see his and Illyria's relationship develop. (Haven't read the Angel comics yet but I'm guessing with Wes as a ghost there's not much cuddle potential!) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And Fred is one of the more painful deaths, because she really was one of the sweetest characters on the show. Wesley's death hit me hardest though, he's my favourite. 'You are my sunshine' was my favourite song growing up, it was the one song from nursery/infant school that I really liked the ost and kept singing throughout the years until I was a grownup. xandfan Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 When I saw it I honestly wasn't fully shocked, simply because by that point I knew of Joss's love of killing a favourite so i was expecting either Fred or Wesley to get killed in the last season, still though can someone just give Amy the damned Emmy for that episode? Can we just rig the contest somehow and give it to her next year because I don't think there was a better performance in the series than Amy's in that episode. Wesley's death did shock me thoguh, simply because once Fred died I thoguht that maybe they were gonna let everyone else make it to the end... damn me and my trusting Joss not to kill, you'd think I would've learned Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
