Hate to go against the grain but I have to say Faith is my favourite :P

Why though lol

what makes her the best. i agree but wanted to talk buffyverse

I loved how tough she was but really damaged goods too.

She showed the old adage of power corrupting but deep down just wanting to be loved.

Sorry I'm really crap at trying to explain my opinions, I really should stick to lurking :o

Love Eliza. She's def my girl. I'd go lesbian in a heartbeat for her. but the slayer just had to go w/ Buffy. She is THE Slayer no matter what anyone says. The quips, jabs, badassness. Buffy was the best slayer hands down. Def whiny outside of slayerdom but in the slayer realm she was def the best

ERM she's hot is that enough of a reason?

well Obviously she's hot

I love Faith. Am wildly obsessed with Eliza but i liked the darkness in Faith. I wonder what Buffy would have been like if like Faith/Kendra she had been taken from her parents as a child and brought up by her watcher. Its hardly surprising Faith as damaged from the get go. Look at the close relationship between Giles and Buffy. If Faith was half raised by her watcher and watched as Kakistos killed her there must have been a strong bond there, it would have been like losing her mother. So justified in the non dealing with of the grief.

Also when she killed the Mayors assistant it was a mistake, they were in the heat of battle and buffy with more experience noticed a second or so before faith. I do remember that even though Ted was a robot Buffy did not know he was went she went wild and hit him full on slayer strength. I also ways hated the double standards for Faith and Buffy. A slayer is supposed to be a sole strength and not a side kick yet with Buffy there faith was left with no choice but to stand in the side kick status.

After killing the mayors assistant and believing she didnt care because she was feeling guilty she found that parent relationship with the mayor she lost with her watcher. So turned to evil but she never really was. I can see why she is so jealous of buffy but in season 4 of Angel when she saved Angel I felt her character had come full circle. She was the Slayer she was supposed to be but back in season 7 of Buffy she became a side kick again. What annoys me is in Angel Faith was so much stronger than she was in buffy and that because it was buffys show and she couldnt look stronger than her.

I went with Faith because she seems to enjoy being the slayer more than buffy.

I was thinking about Nikki Wood cus she seemed to be one of the stronger slayers and managed to have a kid as well but prefer watching Faith kick ass instead

My favourite slayer is definitely Buffy. There's a reason why a watched the show and it's mainly her.

She's the strongest, because she's been the slayer the longest. I mean come on: she died twice!

Not that I don't love Faith, but Buffy kick's ass, and she's funny doing it. It also has got to do with her character.

Ow, and there's also the fact that she passed all those challanges from the Council which she survived, and the entire season 7, hallo! Get it Done and here choice to make all the potentials Slayers. Faith would have never come up with that idea . (Besides Buffy also kicked Faith's and Kendra's butt. That counts for something):poki:.

She did not kick faiths butt!

Each time they have fought faith has held back. In the battle over which slayer got to be angels happy meal Faith was already punishing herself for killing the assistant and she never wanted to be buffys enemy. Faith would have fought on with the stab but the fall from the building was a sacrifice to end the battle.

PLus a stab wound can be fatal if your not in the right frame of mind, as in the finale episode of buffy we seen buffy fall down after a simple stab wound. She lay down. Then she was given something to fight for and she got up. Faith had nothing to fight for. She had no friend, no family and knew the evil home she had made for herself wasnt right. As the dress the mayor asked her to put on was like her life. Pretty dress but not for her.

Plus the battle with kendra ended with the words am the slayer. which brought up the oooooh slayer issues

Sure, but Buffy always knocked here down (for instance: This Years Girl). She did kick Faiths' butt. Even if you try to give a psychological argumentation. It doens't work. Not be stupid or blunt, but Faith had problems from the beginning (her watcher being killed, a not so great mother). And how about in Enemies? Or in Revelations: Buffy is truly the stronger one, the one with the upperhand (it is her show, you know).

And as for the stabwound: sure, but it was dramatic etc. You had to think, even for a moment, that Buffy might actually die again! And it just shows that she was way way stronger (just like coming back from the dead the first time, after she drowned). And Faith lay in a coma!!! Hello! It could have gone the other way.

I'm not trying to say here that Faith could never have one. I'm just saying, that in this show, Buffy was the stronger one. Both Faith and Buffy had psychological issues.

And as for Kendra: I'm not just saying that. For one: buffy is stronger, because Kendra died and Buffy lived. Other than that Buffy stated "I would have kicked your butt in the end". Why do I repeat this frase? Because Buffy has a way of making these sort of things happen (again here show: not that that would be reason enough, but it sure gives a reason).

Just for the record: I don't think any less of Faith. I totally love her character, with all her dept (continuing in Angel).

Sorry if I may have upset you. I know I didn't really elaborate.

I think you hammer home a point. Its buffy show so her flaws are better and she can beat everyone. Which is why i referenced that faith was a stronger character on Angel. Not buffys show so she was a stronger character and fighter. Then we saw her go back to being the faith of poor judgement and lack luster fighting.

Also for the stabbing issue. Faith didnt just get stabbed in the stomach. She fought and fell from the building onto a metal truck/lorry.

One of the main issues with the slayers strenght has always been variable.
