WraithWarrior
Hi guys Im Carl and Ive been looking around on the thread for chevron 7.3 for a few days now and have decided that I am gonna come along. However, this will be my first proper con and dont know what to expect. In terms of hotel to stay at how much is the hotel that the con is being held at or do you get it included in your ticket price? Sorry if it seems like a stupid question but just wanna know roughly how much I will need to save to go. Thanks guys
Moderators DavidB Posted August 29, 2009 Moderators Share Posted August 29, 2009 Hi there, The hotel is separate, and is £65 a night. It needs to be paid when you book, and is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. http://www.massiveevents.co.uk/chevron73/info.php?venue
WraithWarrior
Thanks Do you need to stay at that hotel as I tried to book a room on the dates for that hotel online and it says that rooms arent available, presumably because of it being full Thanks again
Moderators DavidB Posted August 29, 2009 Moderators Share Posted August 29, 2009 You can stay wherever you want The best option is to give the hotel a call though, as they might be able to help you get a room there. The rooms do get block-booked for the convention, and so appear unavailable sometimes.
WraithWarrior
OK, I was gonna try them first anyway as would prefer to stay in that hotel. Thank you so much anyway, really helped

Thank you so much anyway, really helped If you can't get a room at the Park Inn then the Ibis is just across the road. Last con I did in Northampton I stayed at the Ibis. It's just a couple minutes walk, so is pretty convenient when the Park Inn is booked up.

And the Ibis doesn't take your money up-front like the Park Inn does (something that I was narked about initially so I booked into the Ibis six months ago instead)... You just pay on arrival and I'd rather the money was in my bank account earning 0.1% than in theirs... lol Edited October 20, 2009 by starwarriors
