Yeah! It took me a while to learn proportion when drawing people, but yours is great You shouldn't put yourself down 'cause we've all got room for improvement, it's how we get better In my personal opinion, I tihnk you proportioned Bella very well and you had to draw Edward in what I would find a difficult pose, you did awesome!

Well, finally finished my baby commission.  Okay, so its not twilight,

but it has taken over 25 hours to draw

I can't publish it on my website or deviantart until after the portrait has been given on the 23rd of August, but promised people a preview.

what is gutting is that I have tried printing it out four different ways, and nothing comes close to the original.  The scan is not bad at all, but as soon as it goes into the printer...........Ugh!  It is a really good printer too!  I had it off my parents for Christmas as a joint family present, but I am the one who mainly uses it for my cake tutorials and business etc.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

(I won't post any of my Twi-art here, cos it has been posted on the forum before, but if you want to see it, there is a web address in my signature - I will post new Twi-drawings from time to time though)

Thanks guys,

I am just fingers crossed that she is happy with it now.

I think it is a good likeness from the reference pic, but at the end of the day, my customer is his grandmother, so she may well see something she doesn't like about it.

She liked the preview before I drew the hair though, so fingers crossed!

I have emailed her the final preview for approval before she pays, last time she emailed back about 6pm, so she is presumably in work during the day.

He is a cute baby though!  Hopefully she doesn't show it to someone with an ugly baby who wants me to draw it!

Hubby actually bought me a tattoo kit about a year and a half ago, and this is the last thing I did, I knew a tattoo artist (who did the stars on my back).  He was being really great, giving me hints and telling me what things to practise (on grapefruit only!!!!!)

and then I won an online art competition on deviantart, showed him the finished picture, and he literally stopped talking to me.

Then he Took on this bloke as an apprentice when he was hinting that I could have done it, and just clams up.

I was gutted.
Anywhere else, and I won'thave a chance cos I am 38 and too old to be someones apprentice.

Would love to do it though, have loads of books on tattooing.  Maybe will get to practise more this winter, but sad thing is it seems kindof pointless when you know you won't get to do it for real

Haven't heard back from the customer yet so I don't think she has seen the email

  Thats okay Kate, it wasn't a secret, just that Tiffany and Chelsea both said about Tattooing.

People look at you funny when you say you are interested in tattooing when you are older than about 18.

I designed my sisters tattoo.

She has always had a small shark on her shoulder, and I re-designed it so that it had all the japanese wind and water etc then me and my Mum went with her to a great tattooist in Cardiff who re-did it (she did say that she wished he hadn't deviated from the design at the bottom as she preferred mine), but at least he kept the main features/feel of it the same.

She tells everyone that her sister designed it for her.

Hubby wants me to do a tattoo of Cactuar on him, but knows I am too chicken to tattoo a person.  Even though when I play on Grapefruits, I wear gloves, use one use needles etc etc

I adore that design! Haha it's amazing. Rhi it might be cheeky but I noticed prices on your website and I wondered if you take requests from like anyone? My sister was looking at your work as I mentioned and asked  if you do requests and she said she'd pay, she just wants one of my nephew. Sorry if its cheeky!
