Who was your favourite (and least favourite) characters? Why? What do you think will happen in the next season? Personally, one of my favourite parts of the whole season was the vampire trial. It was so horrific. The thought of being put in a coffin for 200 years made me feel really claustrophobic. Aaaaaaaaaargh! Yeah, that whole scene was brilliant. My favourite characters were probably Tara, Jason and Lafayette. I loved Sookie too. Oh hell, I loved all of them really! I didn't like Jason's girlfriend, Amy, though. What a cow! I hated what they did to that poor vampire in the basement (Eddie). That was so sad. I really can't wait for the next season. Does anybody know when that will be available? I have a few different favourite parts: The character arc of Tara and her mother. I felt that was one of the more fascinating storylines, and really gave Tara depth and range. We got to see her want to make her mother better, and yet fighting her own 'demons' at the same time. It's an interesting dynamic, and just one of the many show stealing performances Rutina gave. Sam's transformation revelation. I suppose you can say it encapusalted everything that True Blood is about - humour mixed in with a deeper emotional conflict and relationships on different levels. You have this guy who clearly loves the girl and would do anything to protect her, acting like this abnormal 'vampire' is such an outsider when really he himself is less accepted as a shapeshifter. Character wise, generally I enjoy anything with Tara, Lafayette, and Eric. Regarding the latter, I like that Bill seems powerful to the humans in Merlotte's etc, but when we spread out beyond that to Fangtasia and the like, really it's Eric who has the power. The social structure of the vampire community (like the trial) existing within normal human society is an interesting concept. I enjoyed the love story more than the murder mystery. Im a romantic freak I guess :-) I like the way Bill love and treat Sookie..so tender and full of respect. Vampire love is amazing. Does anyone notice the way Bill pronounced the name 'Sookie'? OMG, It's so sexy. I also love the part when Bill gave speech about his army days at Adele's church. He was a charmer and won everyone's heart including mine 2) Characterwise, I love Lafayette. He's soo funny. I dont read season 2 spoilers but I really hope they keep Lafayette alive..I know that would be a big twist from the book but I think the show would lose its spark without Lafayette. I really can't wait for the next season. Does anybody know when that will be available? Based on true-blood.net, HBO is planning to release season 2 sometime in mid-june.. Jinx Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) so the bit i like most - is the complete lack of sex there is in this show... i mean seriously ive never seen so little sex in a show before? what a waist having all those chizzled ripped men fully clothed the majority of the time. *cough* but its fantastic its one of those things - i know theres gonna be a cliffhanger and something dramatic at the end of every epsiode - yet I still look at the tv and go OMG!!! every time... even if i guessed it was gonna happen. and Awww Lafayette... he was one of my favorite characters - loved it when he was getting the hassle of the guys in the restaurant. wiccawise21 Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 oh man! i love so much of it. i loved how it was part mystery and yet until the end you didnt really think about who the killer was. really clever. i think may favourite character was jason. hes just so dumb and loveable. but then... lafayette was so funny! i really liked sam too. so protective. bloody hell.... i think i liked them all. favourite scene.... hmmm? i really liked the scene where sookie and bill are talking under the tree after she saves him. then again when he saves her. there was something very powerful about those scenes. Along with the scene where sookie meets the other vampires at bills and he claims ownership of her. very powerful also. one thing though.... did anyone else notice that when sam turned into the dog... sookie called him dean? so i have a one track mind but.... sam? dean? was that coincidence or a direct nod to supernatural? *shrug* =x= Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
