You might have seen reports online that a "fan favourite" major cast member will die this series. Apparently he/she only found out recently themselves.
I reckon Desmond and/or Penny - after Ben called Jack from the dock, having had the poo poo kicked out of him by persons unknown. Or is the Hume-Widmore boat being nearby a red herring ? Ben did promise Widmore he would kill Penny, and Desmond as a character has rather stallled this series. Both are really just pawns in the bigger picture from here on in, and I can't see the lasting or being needed. Any thoughts ?

I think its a good bet that Penny has been killed by Ben but no offence to her but I would not consider her to be a "Fan Favorite". I will hate Lost if Desmond is killed off lol
Doubt its Desmond though because remember "The island is not done with him yet"

I think Ben has to go to allow the story to refocus on the original cast members again in the last season. Or Sayid because he may be beyond redemption!

Sayid would seem likely but would suck as hes great, does anyone care about Juliette for her to be considered a fan favourite??

lol, I don't WANT Ben to go! I was just thinking the character is so prominant now that we might end up caring more about what happens to him in the end than Jack or Kate, who are supposed to be the core characters...
I'd actually prefer to see Kate or Jack die as it would be such a shock!

I agree, Ben is by far the most intresting character. My money (if I had any) is on Juilet to die.
