Flaniganfan
I know it's been a couple of weeks since the convention, but I've only just managed to get online! I was just curious about what Joe was like to work with for the crew. Us fans just see their "public face".
RoadRunner
I had the joy of working with Joe for a day. He was as i expected Fantastic. great bloke. But to be honest as crew we don't get much time with the guests either. as they are so busy. Joe was funny, polite. very very tired. bless all he did sat was drink coffee. And he still managed to be happy to speak to everyone. I dunno how he did it. when I am that tired ,I am like a bear with a soar head. I had the best day ever. This is probably not much help to you. Flaniganfan
Thank you very much for your reply - it did help. I had a guest encounter with Joe, but was too shy to actually ask or say anything. I just sat and stared at him I've put him on such a high pedestal for the past 5 years and because I didn't have the courage to speak to him, I suppose I just wanted reassurance that his personality is just as lovely as his looks Thanks again. Flaniganfan
I know what you mean. You idolise someone for years and then when your dream comes true and you actually meet them, you can't say anything. This convention has made me want to go to another convention to see Joe again. Trouble is, they probably won't be in this country. I am absolutely terrified of flying and haven't been on a plane for over 20 years, but I'm so desperate to see Joe again that I'm determined to get over the fear! Nothing short of a million pounds would get me on a plane I havn't been on one since I was 16 (11 years since I was last on one), but if you can take them I know that there are many sleeping pills out there that really do work. When my dad was on a flight once a guy next to him took some pills and just crashed out, he was soundo the hole flight. Maybe you should look into that. (I can't recommend any as each person is different) Good luck though. LLAP
Flaniganfan
Thanks for the advice. I've always said that if I ever got back on a plane, I would need to be practically unconscious! The trouble is, I wouldn't want to go on my own (even though I'm 39!!). I would want to take my 9 year old with me, so being knocked out isn't an option. I dunno. I really do want to see Joe again, but flying

I sat with him twice, I thought the first seating was better than 2nd one, we were talking about tv shows and off course the cancellation, i didnt feel nervous when i sat, I asked a few questions, but i cant remember the answers, there wasnt much time to sit down and think god, i sat with joe, i kept moving from one event to another, he yaps a lot, you ask one question, he gives a lot of information, I missed 1st talk, I was sitting with Colin, god he had energy, when i see him signing from away, it hits me,god its joe, but when im close, i dont feel nervous, i couldnt see his face that much with his beard, i think he has a small face, I remember more colin, face than joe. why was he so tired, the other guest didnt look, is it because he came with wife, so had to travel to london. I would like to see Rachel Luttrell in the june. There is A con in vancouver, in april, off course thats definitly imposible to go. this time the tickets so out very quickly. everybody keeps talking about it, maybe because of the cancellation. Flaniganfan
Thanks ringzpm. I didn't know Joe came with his wife. I did wonder why he had to go to London. It's a shame he likes to have a beard, cuz he does hide his lovely face rather a lot. I wonder if his wife likes it?
