Hi all

Unfortunately as we feared Taylor Lautner has had to postpone his attendance at
Eternal Twilight due to scheduling conflicts .

I know that we were all really pleased that Taylor secured his place
as Jacob in New Moon, but that has led to him having to alter his
schedule meaning that he is not now able to make Eternal Twilight.

However, we know that he was really looking forward to meeting you all
and he appreciates your support so much. We will be working closely
with Taylor and his agent to bring him to a future event so that he
can thank you all in person.

We are currently working hard on finding a fantastic replacement for
Taylor at Eternal Twilight and hope to have some exciting news on this
in the coming few days!

We had hoped to bring you a replacement guest tonight! biggrin.gif We try to have
a back up guest in place just incase and we have a great guest that has
agreed to attend the event, biggrin.gif but we do not have a singed contract back
from there agent yet so until we get this back we cannot let you know who they are! WINCE.GIF

I know you all want to know who it is and we want to tell you! DANCE.GIF So, as
soon as we have that contract back we will let everyone know. DANCE.GIF

We run the events in a way so that you have some of the best days of the
year with us and we want you to have a great time! biggrin.gif It saddens us
when this type of thing happens but it cannot be helped sometimes.

We all want you to have a great time at Eternal Twilight and we here all know
you will have an amazing time with us as in the last few days we have
been talking to some people that will make the event even better and so
much more special for everyone on the day! YAHOO.GIF So trust us and we will have
news on the new guest very soon YAHOO.GIF

Also, to let you know, we have also spoken with Kellan, Ashley and Justin’s
agents and they are all still scheduled to attend and good to go to
Eternal Twilight. THUMBUP.GIF

After those conversations their flights were booked
and so we look forward to seeing them at the show

We are sorry about Taylor and thank you for understanding and support!

I had a few insider infos so this is all but unexpected...
I thank Showmasters for trying and working so hard, before, during and after the cancellation.
My personal feelings are quite neutral. I work in the Showbiz and had the chance to meet several world famous 'celebs' in the course of the years. I never had to pay to meet any of them. To be honest I'd pay to keep a few of them at a reasonable distance wink.gif
But this Con was a birthday present for my child and adult reasoning is quite ineffective in such a case. Being aware of the risk of cancellation doesn't change its emotional impact. Besides there can be personal reasons, an untold story, so to say, behind certain reactions... I just hope cancellations have nothing to do with sudden rises to star status. I saw that happen in the past, and it's a real pity.
As for me, waiting with a good dose of curiosity for the new guest announcement.

Aw, I'm gutted, but it's the very fact we think he's awesome is the reason he's staying on, so hey! Can't complain. Great to know he was looking forward to it.

What?! With who? If the event clashes with his preparation for the movie, there's nothing he or Showmasters can do about it. Do you really expect Taylor to drop out of the movie just to come and see us?

Thanks for updating us so fast Showmasters, and for putting our minds at rest over the other guests. Gutted Taylor won't be there, but I had my doubts as soon as he was confirmed for New Moon - there's bound to be loads of prep for whatever effects they are going with for the wolfing out. I'd rather have him in the movie than at the event at the end of the day, though hopefully we'll see him at another one in the future.

To be honest we can't really complain,
I know it sucks that he can't come, but at the end of the day i would rather he had his place in New Moon and come and visit us at ET2.

Hopefully the guest announcement will ease the pain of losing Taylor.

that is a shame sad.gif like many, many people here was looking forward to seeing him! but these things happen, so thanks to showmasters for letting us know (and also letting us know the other 3 guests are still scheduled to go at this point in time) and we wait with excitement at the announcement of the new guest!
