Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted January 9, 2009 Showmasters Admin Share Posted January 9, 2009 Hi everyone, We thought that we'd give you all some notice of the date for Chevron 7.3, tickets for which will go on sale on the Sunday of Chevron 7.2! Chevron 7.3 will take place on 6th to 8th November 2009 and will be back at the original home of Chevron 7, The Park Inn Hotel Northampton! The hotel will have completed a full renovation since Chevron 7 and the rooms now are really quite smart. We look forward to seeing you all in Bedford for Chevron 7.2 and will let you know our first guests for Chevron 7.3 at the show! Doubt I'll be able to manage another one. certainly not close to Christmas and definately not a Gold pass like the last two. Will see who the guests are for that one and maybe do a cheap ticket if there is someone I desperately want to see. Also with The Park Inn demanding payment up front these days I can't afford to budget the hotels. I wouldn't call it "close" together - they're 10 months apart. Plus 7.3 will be pretty close to christmas, which isn't good either Is it sure it's gonna be this date then? Just asking, as chevron 7.2 was moved at least two times... I'm doing all the overtime god sends at the moment (i think i'm one of the few who can get any as I work for the Jobcentre) At least I've already got most of my costume for Hallowhedon still got the ticket and hotel to do for that, the ticket I'm getting at the end of Feb, then save up again and get ticket for Chevron 7.3 then just save up for the hotels and travel (got 5 months for that) and I'm skint again! woo hoo, but so worth it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I heard that some people where having to pay up front, but for this one in bedford and the last in Northhampton at the park inn i never had to i pay until i arrived. flubber Posted February 14, 2009 Share Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) I'm not going to make it because I have to book my holidays a year in advance so I have to make a choice to go to another con earlier in the year because I know the dates for that. I am just getting to go to this one because I had a schedule change. I have also looked at my work schedule and I am working. I hope that whoever you get as guests the con is a great success as they look like they are a lot of work. I know it will most likely be a success but wouldn't waiting a year between conventions give people the chance to have some more money in there back pocket that they could spend at the next one. I know at least one person who might be going but will be buying hardly any autos next time due to not having enough time (with the job they have) to save enough. Im considering going, havn't been to an SMs/ME convention yet and it might take some convincing. Nothing to do with any coments I may or may not have read, just its me and I am just not 100% sure with the way they run there cons. I am not putting a downer on things just (well maybe I am stuck in my ways who knows) each to there own, and I would need a little convincing thats all.. Anyone want to try and convince me? Yeah but there not usually the same type of event, like one organiser might do say buffy (not my thing) in one month and for example a smallvill con later in the year, yes they are doing more then one con a year, but one one of each type of con each year, which is what I meant the others that I have been to do.
